Looking to join a group to play some escape games in Toronto? Lock yourself in here with us, then!
Never played an escape room before? Never fear! We welcome both the experienced and first timers in our group! It takes all kinds of mindsets for escape rooms, and often new players bring something to the table as much as the experienced do. It's also a great way to meet people and make friends!
For the uninitiated: Escape rooms, or escape games, are exciting hour-long adventure games that take place in rooms full of puzzles and mysteries. You and a squad of people work together to find clues and solve said puzzles, to try and escape before time runs out!
We meet up, have some food and drinks before or after, and have a great time cracking these rooms. Whether you're new or old to escape rooms, try one of our meetups this month!

Yes, you could join/pay the bonus event venue on the day, as long as there are still tickets (in theory Nights of Lights could sell out), but you'd have to risk it and pay full price at the door.

-> TIMING: I'm guessing we'll arrive at the bonus event location in time for the 8:45 pm entry slot. I'm told there will likely be no line to get in. This timing accounts for us to finish our escape rooms, take some pics, and then make our way over. Nights of Lights is open 'til midnight. Stay as long as you want!
-> FOOD/DRINKS: Yes, Nights of Lights has food and drinks for sale! I'm told there is a variety of food trucks! We can decide on the day if we start with food/drinks, or check out the experience and discover the food/drinks when we get there. -> DRESS CODE: COSTUMES HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! There will likely not be a ton of time for getting into costume after the escape room, so I recommend coming in costume for the whole event! Yay! FYI the bonus event is outdoors and rain or shine, so keep the weather in mind as you get your costume ready!

Simply RSVP'ing to this event via the Meetup "RSVP" button will NOT secure your ticket. This group is incredible and we have a ton of fun. "What starts as an innocent dare to explore an abandoned house turns into a nightmare you'll never forget. The house isn't empty. It's a trap. Now you're part of a sick and twisted game where every challenge brings you deeper into the darkness. Work together, uncover the truth, and fight to escape before the house claims another victim.
But be warned—not all groups make it out together. Will yours?
How scary is The Sacrifice? SPOOKY! Fear is very subjective. So, it's difficult to say exactly how scary The Sacrifice is. But, the average player considers The Sacrifice to spooky- With multiple jump scares, tight spaces, moments of darkness, loud sounds, group separation, and a very immersive set and sound atmosphere.
*THIS EXPERIENCE REQUIRES PLAYERS TO CRAWL, CONTAINS TIGHT SPACES, MAY REQUIRE GROUP SEPARATION, CONTAINS STROBE / FLASHING LIGHTING EFFECTS / FOG / ANIMATRONICS / POP-UP SCARES / LOUD SOUNDS AND DARK SPACES."Important details about the escape rooms only:
- We will book the spots for the escape room, so no planning needed!
- This is a prepaid event, so you must pay the fee to join in.
- Please arrive at the listed time. This is scheduled 15 mins ahead of the room time so that everyone can arrive, check in and sign waivers if applicable.
- No shows or last minute cancellations after the booking has been paid for will not receive refunds due to the non-refundable nature of the escape room businesses.
- If there is a cancellation/rescheduling of the event, you will receive refunds.
- If you ever want to join an event but all of our rooms appear to be full/sold out, please message me. I can sometimes find a way to add a person or two; and if I hear from a lot of people, I may even be able to book a whole extra room for the bonus folks so they can join in the fun!
- Please share the puzzles! We can be big groups thanks to your patronage, and sometimes escape rooms don't have multiple puzzles to work on at one time, so only a few people may be able to work on a given puzzle. Share the love! If you've been the leader on a few puzzles in a row, kindly step back and let someone else have a turn.

"BioSin Laboratories has gone dark! A classified viral experiment spiralled out of control. Staff were infected. Communications stopped. The facility was sealed. The facility is overrun, crawling with what used to be human. You’ve been sent in as a specialized response team to finish the research and stabilize the 4 part antigen before the outbreak spreads beyond containment. But the deeper you go, the clearer it becomes — someone knew this would happen. You have 60 minutes before containment becomes permanent. Get in. Complete your objectives. Survive the infected. Get out. HOW SCARY IS QUARANTINE? IT'S SUSPENSEFUL! QUARANTINE was not designed to be a very scary experience. With that being said, everybody's tolerance for fear is very different. We would consider QUARANTINE to be a suspenseful/creepy experience.

Re. Lost Orbit – 60 min. - Arrival time 7 pm:
"Prepare for an Adventurous Space Escape Room. You're part of a United States deep-space recovery team in the modern era, dispatched on a classified extraterritorial operation beyond Earth’s orbit. Prepare for launch. Destination: Deep Space. A long-abandoned Cold War Soviet space station, sealed and drifting in silence for decades. Official records are incomplete. The Russian Federation denies full disclosure. Something happened up there—something that forced an immediate evacuation.
You'll need to dock with the craft, restore critical systems one by one to regain partial control, navigate different sectors, decode corrupted Soviet-era logs, and uncover what really happened aboard the abandoned Soviet space station. HOW SCARY IS LOST ORBIT? NOT SCARY AT ALL! Lost Orbit was not designed to be a scary experience. With that being said, everybody's tolerance for fear is very different. We would consider Lost Orbit to be an adventurous, thrilling experience. Perfect for families, corporate groups, or for those who can't handle fear.

-> TIMING: I'm guessing we'll arrive at the bonus event location in time for the 8:45 pm entry slot. I'm told there will likely be no line to get in. This timing accounts for us to finish our escape rooms, take some pics, and then make our way over. Nights of Lights is open 'til midnight. Stay as long as you want!
-> FOOD/DRINKS: Yes, Nights of Lights has food and drinks for sale! I'm told there is a variety of food trucks! We can decide on the day if we start with food/drinks, or check out the experience and discover the food/drinks when we get there. -> DRESS CODE: COSTUMES HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! There will likely not be a ton of time for getting into costume after the escape room, so I recommend coming in costume for the whole event! Yay! FYI the bonus event is outdoors and rain or shine, so keep the weather in mind as you get your costume ready!

***To secure your RSVP to the Escape Room part of this event, you must complete TWO steps. Both steps must be completed to attend. Simply RSVP'ing to this event via the Meetup "RSVP" button will NOT secure your ticket. This group is incredible and we have a ton of fun. I appreciate your help in making sure it can run smoothly. 🙂Here are the steps, in order:
STEP 1. Please send an etransfer for $46 for the escape room only, per admission. If you are coming to Nights of Lights, please send over the additional $22.50. SO, if you are doing both the escape room and bonus event, your etransfer will be $68.50. Etransfer to TorontoEscapeRoomMeetup@gmail.com
In this email, please note:
-> If you are paying for more than 1 admission, please send the appropriate amount for the number of tickets you want (e.g. 2 tickets = $92 for just the escape room, or $137 for the escape room + bonus event). Please let me know which room you're booking for, whether or not you're attending the bonus event, and please note the name of anyone else you're paying for.***Out of fairness to members who are committed to attending, if I do not receive your etransfer within 24 hours of you joining the event, your RSVP will be removed to open up space for someone else. "A devoted church was consumed by a dark presence, unleashed by a troubled young man. A presence so powerful that faith itself began to fail. Something has drawn you to Grace Hill Chapel. Blood stained pews, cryptic clues, church bells echoing through the darkness. In this live actor escape room, you'll be searching the decaying halls of this once sacred place. - We will book the spots for the escape room, so no planning needed!
- This is a prepaid event, so you must pay the fee to join in.
- Please arrive at the listed time. This is scheduled 15 mins ahead of the room time so that everyone can arrive, check in and sign waivers if applicable.
- No shows or last minute cancellations after the booking has been paid for will not receive refunds due to the non-refundable nature of the escape room businesses.
- If there is a cancellation/rescheduling of the event, you will receive refunds.
- If you ever want to join an event but all of our rooms appear to be full/sold out, please message me. I can sometimes find a way to add a person or two; and if I hear from a lot of people, I may even be able to book a whole extra room for the bonus folks so they can join in the fun!
- Please share the puzzles! We can be big groups thanks to your patronage, and sometimes escape rooms don't have multiple puzzles to work on at one time, so only a few people may be able to work on a given puzzle. Share the love! If you've been the leader on a few puzzles in a row, kindly step back and let someone else have a turn.
