We welcome all like-minded singles who just want to enjoy the company of others without the drama and discord encountered in some social settings. THRIVE is all about community connection, exploration and of course, FUN!
We explore the best of the greater Jacksonville area and beyond.
Events include beach days, festivals, live music, casual meetups and weekend adventures, Whether you’re new in town or ready to meet fresh faces, you’ll find a laid-back, welcoming space here. No stress. No drama - Just good times with great people.
Being single doesn’t mean staying in – it means having a tribe to explore life with.

Please remember the Group Organizer(s) and Event Hosts are friendly volunteers, not employees or tour guides. THRIVE is not a group in place to make a profit. At times, there may be voluntary Fundraising requests or events to offset the Meetup organizational fees, unpaid No-Show penalties, and any unpaid bar/restaurant tabs incurred by the Group Organizer(s) or Event Hosts.

We’re not looking to remove anyone—but it’s up to each member to follow the group guidelines so we can keep"thrive 45+ Singles" a fun, safe, and welcoming community. Your respect, participation and accountability are what make this group amazing!
- Cancellations: If you need to cancel, please try to do so at least 48 hours in advance. We understand emergencies happen, but last-minute changes can make it hard to honor reservations and keep good relationships with venues.
- Strikes: Late cancellations will count as a strike. After 3 strikes, your membership may be canceled, and/or event participation limited.
- No-Shows: If a member RSVPs but does not attend, they will unfortunately be removed from the group. You’re always welcome to request to rejoin when you’re ready to follow the group’s RSVP guidelines. Repeated failure to follow these guidelines may result in permanent removal.
💳 Accountability Fee $
Should venues begin charging the group for changes due to inaccurate RSVP headcounts, we may request a refundable accountability fee when you RSVP.
- Attend → You get your $ back.
- No-show → It goes toward covering venue charges.
Your thoughtfulness helps keep our gatherings fun, full, and enjoyable for everyone.

"thrive 45+ Singles" – is looking for guest hosts in or around the surounding counties.
You don’t have to be a pro—just bring an idea for something fun, adventurous etc. and we’ll help you with the rest: planning, posting the event, and making sure you feel confident. It’s a great way to connect, try something new, and help our group grow—without doing it alone! 🌟
### 🌟 EVENT HOSTING GUIDELINES - Let's Make It Great! 🌟
Thank you for stepping up to host an event for our group! To help ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for everyone, please review the following best practices before planning your gathering:
### 📝 1. Choose the Right Activity
Select an event that reflects the spirit and interests of our group. Keep our current membership in mind and aim for inclusive, welcoming experiences.
### 📍 2. Plan Ahead
- Location: Choose a Meetup spot that’s accessible and easy to find.
- Parking & Restrooms: Recommend parking options and note nearby public restrooms if relevant.
- Details: Look up menus, ticket costs, and venue policies, reservations. Let members know if the event is free or requires payment.
### ❓ 3. Be Available for Questions
Check your messages before the event and be prepared to answer any member inquiries. If your event has a waitlist, manage it thoughtfully by admitting members when space opens up.
### ⏰ 4. Show Up Early, Stay Until the End
Plan to arrive early to welcome guests and troubleshoot any last-minute issues. Stick around until the event wraps up to make sure everyone feels included and things end smoothly. Anyone who can't arrive within 15 minutes of the start time should not rsvp for the event. Showing up 15 minutes after the start time will be considered a no show.

TIME: 6 PM - BAND COMES ON AT 8PM (READ 'know before you go" below")
December 13th at 6pm as the river lights up with holiday magic — all benefitting the Safe Animal Shelter.
History: For the past two decades, Whitey's has joined forces with the local community to extend unwavering support to Whitey's cherished non-profit, SAFE—a no-kill animal shelter. This commitment was a source of immense pride for their late owner, Ann Ham. Through the years, their contribution to The Safe Animal Shelter has steadily grown. Help Whitey's beat last year's fundraising!

**After The Event Ends:**
- Stay to witness the announcement of winners, starting with 1st Place!
- Live Music on the Main Stage kicks off at 8 PM.
- If you participated in our Charity Raffle, keep your phone close; we'll be calling the winners that night!
- Winners of silent auctions or other raffles will receive follow-up calls in the days to come.
- Police officers will oversee traffic until 9 PM.
- The shuttle will continue running until 10 PM.
NOTE: By Responding "YES", you agree to be bound by this liability waiver. As a participant, you voluntarily agree to assume sole responsibility for your participation and hold harmless the Organizer(s) and Event Host(s) for any type of injury resulting from participation in this event.5 attendees
