Happy October! I hope spooky season treats you well this year. Alex is back this month as host. At this point I’m not sure we can call him a guest host anymore (😆), but I know it’s going to be another good one!

This month we are reading The Sun Down Motel by Simone St. James. I am a big fan of this author and especially this book. I hope you all enjoy it!

Carly Kirk has never been able to let go of the story of her aunt Viv. She decides to move to Fell and take a job at the hotel - as a night clerk - to try to get to the bottom of the mystery.
But Carly soon discovers that, before she vanished, Viv believed she was on the trail of something truly sinister.

Is anyone else buzzing that it’s finally October?! The Literature Festival, autumn fun and spooky season are upon us!

This month we are reading Uncharmed by Lucy Jane Wood. Don’t worry if you havent read her other book. It’s not necessary to enjoy this one.

I hope everyone is doing well and had a great October! I just wanted to make a note that this will be our last Wine & Crime for 2025. We’ll be back in January though!

This month we are reading The Only Survivors by Megan Miranda. This author, and specifically this book, was recommended to be by a friens who loves this genre. I’m looking forward to seeing what she loves about this book.
