The Bike Lane

TGIF! Let's do a leisurely Saturday late afternoon bike ride, work off some of that stuffing we ate for turkey day, and hit a few stylish watering holes along the way : )
The northern section of the Greenbelt is soooo beautiful (and perfect for Happy Hour) - tons of cool places to check out - and we'll see the sunset.
Pray for sun : )
(But dress warm)
BRING YOUR BIKE LIGHT and lock!! Sunset 5:30

Arrive by 3:45 at the latest. We have to leave on time at 4:00.

Route:
4:00 WE PEDAL AWAY!!
We'll start at 92nd Street Cafe, which is right on the bike path, pedal south to Fratelli la Bufala for a 20 minute Happy Hour stop.
Then we continue on the bike path on to Silverado Grill Cafe - another 20 minute Happy Hour stop.
[I strongly suggest you SHARE one drink/beer... with a friend at each stop!! We are promoting FUN and social interaction, not necessarily catching a buzz].
We turn around at this point, and re-trace our bike path route to our last stop [my favorite] Phx Beer Company on the lake to watch the sunset from the patio, have some cocktails and snacks [optional].
After all that - a mere 15 minute pedal back to our vehicles at 92nd Street Cafe. Pedal back at your own time.
Bring your BIKE LIGHT, as it will be DARK if you hang out with us all for a while.
So the pedal back - no matter what time - should be simple.

This is a REALLY beautiful pedal - past all the lakes and the 2 fountains! One of my favorites. It will be a leisurely ride - short - all paved bike path- about 8 miles each way.
Just to get out and enjoy the eve and TGIF...

It's our ANNUAL Jingle All The Way HOLIDAY ride!!!
DRESS FESTIVE (mandatory) and trick out your bike with Holiday decorations.

10 am - Come and make some new bike friends!
We'll pedal from Chaparral Park down the Greenbelt (like a parade!) thru all the lakes to El Dorado Park, take photos, and continue around Tempe Town Lake - stop for more photos - and then have a break at 100 Mile Brewary.
After some social time - we'll pedal ourselves back to Chaparral Park.

Make friends - have fun - get in the Holiday spirit.
Easy pedal 45 minutes each way / 9 miles each way - all paved dedicated bike path.
Swift 10 mph, but gentle pedal. Keep up - no gaps. No one left behind.

Chaparral Park Parking Lot
NorthEast Corner of Jackrabbit & Hayden Roads

Be ready to hit the path at 10am!! We leave on time.
Feel free to bring a hanging speaker for your bike and Christmas music!! Let's get in the spirit.
