Team Doogie (SWFL) Sports and Social Events

We’re bringing a brand new volleyball option to the lineup, and this one is built for players who want a little more action, a little more strategy, and a few more touches on the ball… without losing the fun-first vibe that makes Team Doogie what it is.

This isn’t your typical blind-draw night.

We’re switching things up with smaller teams (2’s & 3’s), which means faster games, more involvement, and more chances to actually play the ball instead of just watching it fly over your head. It’s a great fit for intermediate to advanced players who are ready for a slightly more competitive pace, but still want a relaxed, social atmosphere.

And the best part… you’ve got options.

• Want to show up solo and meet new people? Jump into the $5 blind-draw and we’ll handle the teams.
• Got a partner or a small squad you want to run with? Lock it in for $10 per person and play together all night.

Same community. Same laughs. Just a new twist on the game.

Thursdays at 6:30pm (arrive by 6:15pm)

Our random draw tournaments are perfect for players of all levels who love the thrill of the game and meeting new friends. (Lately, we have skewed intermediate to advanced play, but it all depends on who shows!)

Teams will be assigned based on skill level before the tournament starts. This means you’ll get to meet and play with different people, making it a fantastic way to socialize and have fun! Each team will have a chance to keep playing, even if they lose a match! The tournament is set up so that teams are eliminated only after their second loss. Each match is played to 25 points, and teams must win by 2 points. So, get ready for some intense rallies and teamwork!

Join Team Doogie for Friday Night Cornhole at Scotty’s Pub in North Port!

Never played cornhole before? Perfect. Cornhole is basically the sport of tossing bean bags at a board while talking trash to your friends and celebrating way too hard when one finally goes in. Equal parts skill, luck, and “I meant to do that.”

We’ll be playing a mix of:
🎯 Blind-draw cornhole where partners are randomly assigned ($5)
🎯 Bring-your-own-partner games if you come with a teammate ($10)

No experience needed. Some people show up to compete. Some show up for laughs and drinks. Most end up doing both 😎
