What we’re about
Teal is a group that organises in person meetups that take one of three forms:
1. REAM
REAM (Read and Examine Articles en Masse) is a type of get together where we talk about an article that was voted on by regular members. You can think of it like a book club, but instead of books, we read articles. They are (usually) much shorter than books, and there are lots to talk about and discuss. During a REAM meeting we talk about what we understood about the paper, what we learned, what we didn't understand, and ramble on about some related thing.
2. SHARE
SHARE (not an acronym) is a type of get together where one of our members presents some ideas, or skills or tools that they use to the group, and to outsiders. This can take the form of a presentation or a workshop, depending on the topic and presenter.
3. FREAM
FREAM (Philisophy REAM) is very similar to a REAM meeting, the difference is that we don't talk about scientific articles, we talk about articles on philosophy.
Note: This group used to be Philosophy in Cluj! Decided to do a takeover, since there has been no activity for a few years.

REAM #58: Genetics, Biosocial Groups & the Future of Identity
Enigma Cafe, Iuliu Maniu Nr. 12, Cluj-Napoca, ROJoin us for the last meetup this year!
We are closing the year with philosophy of identity. Who are we, how we decide who we are, and how others decide who we are. I came across Ian Hacking when reading the preface for the Thomas Kuhn book "The structure of scientific revolutions". I really like the way we wrote that preface. It was an incredibly easy read. To quote one of his fans writing to Hacking: "You write just how my third grade teacher told me to write: never use a 10 cent word when a 3 cent word would do."
