# Meet new people — or don’t. It’s a bit of luck 🎲

If you’re traveling, working remotely, freelancing, or new in Taipei,
you probably know this feeling:
You’re open to meeting new people.

You just don’t feel like walking up to strangers and starting a conversation.
Same here.

Both the AURA founder Hein and I are pretty introverted.
Sometimes we simply don’t enjoy very loud social environments.
Sometimes we want to:

• meet new friends naturally
• sit quietly and do our own thing
• or just be around people without pressure

So we designed this.

### 🎯 What might happen (and what might not)

Let’s be honest:

• You might meet someone interesting
• You might make a new friend
• You might just hang out quietly and go home

There’s no guarantee.
A bit of it is timing.
A bit of it is luck.
That’s part of the fun.

### 🕹 How it works (this is the game part)

This is a no-host event.
No one will introduce you. No icebreakers.
Instead, we use AURA — and using it is required.
When you arrive:

1. Sign in at the venue
2. Scan the QR code to join the event on AURA
3. See who else is here

From there, it’s up to you:

• Send someone a message on AURA
• Wait and see who messages you
• Or don’t message anyone at all

Think of it like a light social game:
low risk, optional moves, no penalties.

### ☕ What the space feels like

1F — Social & Chill Zone
This floor is fully open for socializing.
You can:

• chat freely
• play darts
• grab a drink
• scroll your phone
• play simple board or card games

2F — Co-working Area
A quieter space for:

• working
• reading
• sitting quietly

You can move between floors anytime, depending on your mood.

### 🌱 Why this helps

This works well if you:

• want a chance to meet new people, without pressure
• don’t enjoy loud or crowded meetups
• like having both social and quiet options
• want human connection, but on your own terms

Sometimes you leave with a new contact.
Sometimes you just feel less alone for a few hours.
Both are wins.

Every Tuesday, Thursday & Sunday · 4:15–7:00 PM
(You’re welcome to stay longer)
(I’ll be there on Sundays.)

Tea Bar · 5-minute walk from the MRT

🎟 Entry:
Minimum spend NT$200

If you’re looking for guaranteed socializing or structured networking,
this isn’t that.
If you’re okay with a bit of luck —

你願意認識新朋友，
但並不想主動走向陌生人開啟對話。
我也是。
AURA 創辦人 Hein 和我都偏內向，
有時我們真的不喜歡太吵的社交環境。
有時我們只是想：

• 自然地認識新朋友
• 安靜地做自己的事情
• 或單純待在人群中，但不被打擾

於是，這個活動就這樣誕生了。

沒有保證。
有一部分是時機，
有一部分是運氣。

### 🕹 活動怎麼運作（這是它好玩的地方）

這是一個 沒有主持人 的活動。
現場不會有人介紹彼此，也沒有破冰遊戲。
取而代之的是 AURA ——
而且 使用 AURA 是必要的。
到現場後：

1. 先在入口簽到
2. 掃描 QR code 加入 AURA 活動
3. 查看同時在場的人

接下來完全由你決定：

• 你可以先在 AURA 上傳訊息
• 也可以等別人傳訊給你
• 或整段時間都不和任何人互動

把它想成一個輕社交小遊戲：
低風險、可選擇、沒有壓力。

一樓完全開放社交。
你可以：

• 自由聊天

• 喝一杯

• 玩簡單的桌遊或卡牌遊戲

二樓｜Co-working 區
比較安靜的空間，適合：

• 工作
• 閱讀
• 安靜坐著

你可以依照當下的心情，自由上下樓。

這個活動適合你，如果你：

# Tuesday & Thursday Co-working · Taipei (No Host): A calm co-working space for expats, remote workers, freelancers, students, and newcomers in Taipei.

If you’re looking for a chill place to focus, study, plan your week, or work beside friendly people, this session is made for you.

These Tuesday & Thursday sessions run without a host — the Tea Bar staff will greet you when you arrive and help you settle in.

I personally host only the Sunday co-working meetup, so join that one if you prefer a guided, social vibe.

👉 Seats are limited — arriving early helps you get a proper workspace.
