Welcome to Suburban Cyclists Unlimited! We are a non-profit community of recreational cyclists riding at various paces as we tour the roads and trails of our surrounding counties in Southeastern Pa, predominantly in Montgomery and Bucks. Weekday and weekend rides are available as well as social and bike events throughout the year.

You can join this Meetup to get notifications of upcoming rides. It is open to members and prospective members. As a Meetup member you are welcome to try some of our many rides as a guest. ##### Fri May 2, 2025 - Friday Frolic w/Linda Horsham Library to Back Yard Beans in Lansdale
Level C+: 12-13mph, 41 (or, short-cut ) miles. Meet at Horsham Township Library. The ride leaves at 9:30 am. Pretty loop through Montgomery and Bucks Counties. Optional quick rest stop at Tabora Farm at Mile 17. There's also a Wawa at Mile 25. Back Yard Beans in downtown Lansdale is at Mile 31. Total climbing 2006 ft, with most of the climbing in the middle of the route. Average 49 ft/mile. Plan to return by 1:30pm, due to chance of rain later in the afternoon. The route can be shortened if needed, to return earlier.
GENERIC DESCRIPTION: Enjoy scenic adventures by bike on most Fridays, throughout the year. Explore pretty, peaceful roads in suburban counties. Starting points will vary, so that we can cycle through different regions. Please check daily calendar for details of each Friday's route -- terrain, mileage, rest stops, etc. Cue sheets and on-line route map provided for each ride. If weather conditions are not conducive to cycling, this ride may be replaced by a hike/walk. As long as we are enjoying outdoor exercise, and Mother Nature, in the company of friends, we'll have a memorable outing. Cue sheets will be available. All those who have or intend to VOLUNTEER for planning, preparation and day-of event work are invited to ride the 34.1 or 50.9 mile course and enjoy many of the same scenic roads planned for the event.

Both routes will have a refueling rest stop with cold beverages and snacks at Hansell Park. (mile 20.8 for the 34.1 mile route and mile 37.6 for the 50.9 mile route). A Port-a-loo will be available at mile 12.3 (Landis Park) for the 34.1 mile group. Restrooms and a refueling rest stop with cold beverages and snacks and will be available at mile 15.9 (Three Mile Run Boat Access Area for Lake Nockamixon) for the 50.9 mile route.
