What we’re about
If you have an interest in sailing or actively sail, we want to meet you. Stem to Stern welcomes all...first timers, racers and cruisers. We schedule get togethers at restaurants and pubs in Ventura and Channel Islands Harbor. The idea is that we meet to talk about how we can plan day sails in the area and give newbies ideas for how to get involved in the sport. Contrary to popular belief, you don't have to own your own boat to go sailing on a regular basis. All members of this group are asked to have a clear profile photo of themselves. We look forward to meeting you!

Join us for dinner and drinks as we plan some day sailing and overnight trips to the Channel Islands in May and June!
For those of you who attended in March at Ventura Yacht Club, we had our largest turnout EVER with over 50 attendees. My goal now is to start organizing some day trips to Anacapa Island and overnights at Santa Cruz Island. Here are some dates we are currently working with:

Friday June 20 - Sunday June 22Captains: If you have a boat and want to participate please attend. You can let us know which dates work for you.
Crew: If you are interested in one of these dates, please attend and exchange information with one of the boat owners. I also have a Google Group for Sem To Stern that is available for easier communication. If you are not on the Google Group, please ask me to add you at one of our socials.For those of you who are new to Stem To Stern, here's how it works. Show up to the socials and meet other sailors. Make friends and learn how to get involved with the local sailing community. Some of us have boats and would be happy to take you out even if you have no experience. Typically it's nice to have a beginner class under your belt or some time on the water. Some boat owners love teaching beginners. I can also recommend some great sailing schools in the area.
About me: As Founder of Stem To Stern, past Commodore of Anacapa Yacht Club, and current member of Pacific Corinthian Yacht Club, I have ties to the local yachting world. Allow me be your entry and guide to all things sailing in Ventura and Channel Islands Harbors.
