Welcome to Steel City RPG!
We host RPG events in locations across Pittsburgh for those who share a passion for Role-Playing Games, Sci-Fi, or slaying Dragons in Dungeons. We are a new group working to provide a safe and welcoming environment for public game nights featuring a variety of TTRPGs.

RPG Game Day Lawrenceville / Lawrence Hall
Lawrence Hall, 4609 Butler Street, Pittsburgh, PA, USJoin us Sunday afternoon for a Tabletop RPG Game Day at Lawrence Hall in Lawrenceville.
Whether you've never touched a d20 or you've been rolling dice for decades, you've got a seat at the table. Our GMs run standalone one-shots across a mix of systems — D&D, indie games, narrative RPGs, and whatever they're excited to bring. No experience required. Pre-generated characters are available for most games.
The gaming happens upstairs. If you're not sure where to go, look for people with dice, they'll point you in the right direction.

Games kick off between 4:00 and 4:30 as tables fill in. Arrive at 4:00 to meet your GM, pick your seat, and get settled before play begins.- RSVP here to let us know you're coming.
- Browse the individual game listings — added as GMs submit their sessions.
- Sign up for the game you want. That's the signup that matters.
- Show up, grab a drink downstairs, and head up ready to play.
If a game is full, join the waitlist and still show up. No-shows happen, and spots open more than you'd think. No guarantees, but it's worth being there.
Already RSVP'd but can't make it? Update your Meetup attendance as soon as you know. It takes 10 seconds and means someone on the waitlist gets to play.
Want to run a game?
This event is community-run. If you've got a system, you love or a one-shot you've been wanting to run, we want to hear from you. One-shots, mini-campaigns, system demos — whatever you're excited to bring to the table.

Lawrence Hall, 4609 Butler Street, Pittsburgh, PA, USYour crew broke into a magical library to steal power back from an oligarchy that's been hoarding it. The good news: it worked. The bad news: none of you understand the magic you just walked out with.
We Stole Tomes and We Don't Know What We're Doing! is a Thieves of the Tome one-shot for 3–5 players — an acid-punk heist comedy where your spells come from real books, and their effects are anyone's guess until you cast them.

- Magic drawn from physical books players bring to the session
- Acid-punk chaos with unpredictable, often hilarious results
- Built for a table that leans into improv and going with it. Succeed and Fail forward together!
The tomes are stolen. What they do: still up for debate.
Bring one physical book from your own shelf with at least 7 clearly marked chapters or sections — it becomes part of the crew's magic at the table. No RPG experience needed; everything else is built together during the session.

And The Thunder Rolls is a Monster of the Week one-shot for a small table of hunters investigating something strange happening at the edge of a national park.
Freak storms have been rolling through; they are sudden, violent, and they dissipate almost as fast as they arrive. Campers and tourists go missing amidst the torrential downpour. Something is using the chaos as cover, and it's your crew's job to figure out what.
You'll play the hunters called in to get to the bottom of it!
