Easy Hike Mine Falls Nashua NH. & drinks & food, Sunday May 4th. 1 pm to 3ish pm. At the END of Coliseum Ave. to the Lincoln Park entrance, Nashua, NH. Food & or drinks after 3:30 pm @ Shorty's. THIS EVENT IS GOING ON RAIN or SHINE! THIS IS A DOG & CHILD FRIENDLY EVENT. You can not see all of the RSVPs. This event is cross posted with two other Groups. Join us at anytime. If you can't make it at 1 pm I will have my phone on, call or text me. The trails crisscross each other so you can usually meet us on the trail. You can also just join us at 3:30 pm. for food & drinks after the hike, at Shorty's. It is less than a half mile from our hike in the Nashua Mall parking lot. This hike is an easy hike on mostly paved trails at Mine Falls Park in Nashua.
Please note, this is not a race. Our intent is to enjoy nature and the views of the area. We will be hiking at a chatting speed along the way. This event is meant more to just get out, than to get a really good workout. This can be a 1.5 mile or 3.5 or 5.2 mile hike. We will enjoy nature for about an hour an half to a max of three hours, with a breaks/stops along the trail. This park is just full of beautiful views and history and very close to the highway. So, come and enjoy some fresh air, beautiful views, rain or shine, all this while in good company of some new and old friends.
We will meet at 1:00 pm in the parking lot at the end of Coliseum Ave, which is off of Rte 130 at exit 6, off of rt. 3, in Nashua NH.
DIRECTIONS: Take exit 6 from Route 3 (Route 130) and go about a a 1000 feet west towards Brookline NH., take a left at the next traffic light past the entrance to the shopping center area (Coliseum Ave), go all the way to the end of the road for the parking lot. Look for the meetup sign.
Warning!!!! The ticks are very bad this year. So, keep out of the high grass. Use bug pray on your pants and pull your sucks over your pants.
Please remember to bring sun screen, bug spray and plenty of fluids. Dress in layers, so that you will be comfortable the whole time we are out on the trails.
If anyone cares to join us after the hike we plan to go to grab a bite to eat or enjoy a drink, or hot chocolate, at nearby Shorty's restaurant or we can the other event going on. For Shorty's turn off of Coliseum Ave. in between the Coat Factory & Home Depot. At the end is Shorty's. Ask for Meetup at the restaurant.
