Southend Techmeet aims to bring together everyone who is interested in technology or keen to learn by meeting similar minded people.

Anyone who is passionate about technology both old and new is welcome.

To meet and learn from experts in technology. Learn from other experts experience.
Grow your network by meeting interesting people in and around Southend.
If you are an expert in any tech related field, you will have an opportunity to present your ideas or lead the group into discussion .
Currently we're meeting in Southend monthly at The Board Game Hut on the third Thursday evening of the month and Basildon on the third Sunday of the month.

See all- Chelmsford Tech Meetup - pre launch meetupsPatch, Chelmsford
From September, we're starting a monthly Tech Meetup in Chelmsford on the first Thursday of the month 7pm-10pm at Patch.
In July and August, we're holding a couple of pre launch meetups for those ready to start building tech projects, previous event attendees and/or people interested in helping to shape the organisation and direction of the group.
Initially we're thinking of these events:
Monthly Project Evenings - for people who want to build projects, work together and share skills
Tech Talks and Networking - tech and business related talks
/dev/meet - more advanced technical workshops or talks suitable for those with industry experience (but anyone is welcome to attend if capable)
Hackathons - work on developing projects in a short timescaleAn event is being planned for October during Chelmsford Science Festival where we'll showcase the projects we have been working on; have a panel discussing AI; and some short talks on the theme of AI.
We're looking for people to give talks, help with organisation, promotion and recruitment, share skills with others, and work on exciting tech projects. Contact us via Meetup or attend an event if you'd like to get involved.

Southend Tech Monthly Meetup at The Board Game Hut is a meetup for those who work in tech related industries, enthusiasts and those interested in all things tech. Over 18s only.
We will cover topics such as computer software, website design, cloud and internet technologies, hardware, Raspberry Pi, and much more.
The agenda is open to you. If you have any ideas for talks or demos, we’re especially keen to hear from you.Entrance £6 per person payable to the shop on entry.

Join us on the 3rd Sunday of the month in Basildon Town Centre for a monthly meetup for those interested in all things tech. Over 18s only.
We'll be upstairs at Orleto Lounge in the middle of the town centre - next to the new cinema.- and will be joining our friends at the Basildon Arts Index Social, some of whom are interested in virtual reality, digital arts and creative technology.

In March 2023 it was announced that Basildon was set to receive £4.4m in government funding to continue to scale the existing support for their creative and digital sectors.
