About us
Looking for fun and interesting things to do in Bristol? Here is the kind of thing you can expect: pub quizzes, live music, comedy nights, wine tasting, brunches and Sunday roasts, kayaking and paddleboarding, murder mystery nights, board game cafes, pub crawls, scenic walks, coffee meetups and craft workshops.
Socialise is a social club for meeting new people and making friends. Since 2023 we have grown to 3,500+ members with a 4.8-star rating, running hosted events every week. What members mention most: welcoming hosts, meeting new people, and feeling safe.
What We Run Every Week...
Join the group and you get access to all of our activity strands:
- Outdoors and water sports: walking groups around Ashton Court, Harbourside strolls, summer BBQs, plus kayaking, canoeing and paddleboarding on the harbour.
- Games and social mixers: murder mystery nights, pub quizzes, speed friending, board game cafe nights, and retro sports days.
- Nightlife and pub meetups: weekend pub crawls, craft beer nights, live music, and comedy across Stokes Croft, Southville and the city centre.
- Sober socials and cafe culture: coffee meetups, pottery and craft workshops, book clubs, and independent cinema trips.
- Food and drink: brunch meetups, Sunday roasts, wine tasting, and local food market tours.
- Safe and inclusive spaces: LGBTQ+ socials and women-only friend-making groups.
โฆComing to Your First Meetup Alone?
Most of our members come to their first event on their own. You will not be left scanning the room for a group of strangers. Every Socialise gathering has a named host who meets you at the door, introduces you around, and makes sure you are not standing on your own.
Group Guidelines and Safety
- Strictly platonic: a space to make genuine friends, not a dating app or a singles night.
- No advertising: please do not advertise services or items within the groups, including charity and housing.
- Member privacy: please do not message other members online unless you have met them at an event in person first.
- No drama: be yourself. Zero tolerance for harassment, drama or disrespect.
- Media consent: we take photos and video at events for social media. Tell your host on arrival if you would rather not appear in them.

Weston Walks Club: Cheddar Gorge
Cheddar Gorge Car Park, The Cliffs, Cheddar BS27 3QA, Cheddar, GBWeston Walks Club is back We're going for bank holiday hike around the famous Cheddar Gorge!
๐๏ธWhat To Expect ๐๏ธ
The beautiful limestone gorge at Cheddar needs little introduction, as one of the UK's most famous hiking trails. The village itself is not to be discounted either, with a wonderful English countryside vibe, with plenty of cafรฉs and restaurants!๐Route Details๐
A moderate section towards the beginning, with some steep rocky climbs to reach the best viewing spots, we'll take it easy to keep it beginner friendly. The total circular distance is approximately 6 miles, which should take us around 3 hours. See the details here: https://www.alltrails.com/en-gb/trail/england/somerset/cheddar-gorge๐ฅพ๐ฅช What To Bring ๐ฅช๐ฅพ
Bring sturdy shoes, a thermos of tea (or coffee!) and a packed lunch! We'll find a nice spot to stop part way through, so everyone can have a rest and eat some lunch!I've set the location as the carpark for Cheddar Gorge, which offers contactless payments. However this car park can fill up (and perhaps will on a bank holiday) so make sure you have a backup parking plan!
