Sixty Plus and Smiling

Since there is such a long waitlist for this exhibit, I'm adding it as another event. The Scandinavian Home: Landscape and Lore invites you into a world where domestic and mythic intertwine. Featuring stunning landscapes, portraits, furniture, and decorative arts, this exhibition comprises more than 100 works from the private collection of Pennsylvania-based art collectors David and Susan Werner. Timed tickets are now available to purchase (or reserve if you are a member). Get the 11:00 am admission.

There is free parking in the Frick Museum lot and on the nearby streets.

After viewing the show, we will walk over to the Cafe at the Frick for some lunch.

Let's visit the National Aviary! Meet at 10:30 inside the main entrance.

There are still free RADpass tickets for the Aviary for Nov 20, as of today, Nov 3. Here's how you can get (free) RADpass tickets:

1. You need a library card from any Allegheny County public library
2. Log on to www.radpass.org with your library card number and PIN
3. Browse the available venues - often the Carnegie museums, Heinz, Frick, Children's, Zoo, Mattress Factory, etc. are available.
4. Choose the venue and date.

You can go to each venue only once per year. Many tickets allow for more than 1 person at a time, for example an Aviary RADpass ticket admits 4 people.

If you sign up to come, please mention whether you'll have a RADpass ticket or not since each Aviary RADpass ticket is good for 4 people. I have one (so can take Annette and 2 others in).

We will meet at Upstreet Diner for breakfast or lunch at 11:30 am., before the "Wicked" movie. Anyone can join us, even if you are not coming to the movie.

Upstreet Diner is a few doors down from the theater, on Murray Ave. Parking on side streets are free. I recommend Darlington Ave, but read the signs about street cleaning.
