What we’re about
This is a group for those of us who are older, wiser and perhaps a little slower and stiffer than the young people who turn out for many of the other meetups. The goal is to provide a variety of activities—something for everyone—so we can make new friends and find adventures together. We are inclusive and tolerant of all beliefs and backgrounds. From movies, museums and meals to concerts and hikes, we'll find ways to connect and support one another. We also hope others will step up and join us in planning and organizing events. Let's celebrate our age and experience!

High Tea at The Inn on Negley
The Inn on Negley, 703 South Negley Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA, USThe Inn on Negley’s high tea service is styled after the traditional teas of the British Isles, as well as more contemporary repasts from tea rooms across America and Europe. While the menu is seasonal and changes weekly, guests will find such mainstays as vanilla crème scones, roasted chicken salad on homemade gougères (cheese puffs), petite quiches, decadent cheesecakes, lemon madeleines, and French macaroons. The cost is $45 per person (add $8 for hot chocolate; additional sandwiches – $2.50 each; additional scones – $3.00 each), and I am reserving a table for 6. Credit cards or cash is accepted. Current Menu and other Information
This is a very limited event, so please don't sign up unless you are certain you want to attend. A reservation has been made in advance, and even if there is a waiting list, last-minute cancelations can cause confusion.
PARKING
Parking on the streets surrounding the Inn is free for the first two hours. Please take advantage of this parking. The Inn’s parking lot is reserved for overnight guests.6 attendees

Extending from the Atlantic to the Pacific Ocean, the transcontinental railway in Canada, built by the Canadian Pacific Railway, is known as one of the greatest engineering feats in history. The last spike for the railway was driven in 1885. The film weaves together spectacular IMAX aerial cinematography, archival photographs and maps, and the potent energy and rhythms of a live steam locomotive. Seating is “first come, first serve” in the theater, with breakfast from 8-10 a.m. and the film beginning at 10 a.m. Run time: 46 minutes
Parking is $6 in front of the Science Center. If the Main Lot is full, additional Science Center parking is available across the street in the North Lot at the same price as the Main Lot. There is a crosswalk from the North Lot to the Main Lot for your convenience.11 attendees
