What we’re about
This group is operated by Singlefaith - www.singlefaith.org
Belonging. Experiences. Jesus. Partnership.
Belonging: We cultivate healthy community for singles.
**** 1 John 1:7 NLT If we are living in the light, as God is in the light, then we have fellowship with each other, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, cleanses us from all sin.
**** Proverbs 27:17 NLT As iron sharpens iron, so a friend sharpens a friend.
**** Matthew 18:20 NLT Where two or three gather together as my followers, I am there among them.
Experiences: We provide meaningful and fun social activities for singles.
**** Psalm 118:24 NLT This is the day the Lord has made. We will rejoice and be glad in it.
**** Ecclesiastes 8:15 NLT So I recommend having fun, because there is nothing better for people in this world than to eat, drink, and enjoy life. That way they will experience some happiness along with all the hard work God gives them under the sun.
**** 1 Corinthians 10:31 NLT So whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.
Jesus: We encourage singles on their journey of faith.
**** Colossians 2:6-7 NLT And now, just as you accepted Christ Jesus as your Lord, you must continue to follow him. Let your roots grow down into him, and let your lives be built on him. Then your faith will grow strong in the truth you were taught, and you will overflow with thankfulness.
**** Romans 1:12 NLT When we get together, I want to encourage you in your faith, but I also want to be encouraged by yours.
**** 2 Peter 3:17-18 NLT So be on guard; then you will not be carried away by the errors of these wicked people and lose your own secure footing. Rather, you must grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
**** Colossians 1:9-12 NLT We ask God to give you complete knowledge of his will and to give you spiritual wisdom and understanding. Then the way you live will always honor and please the Lord, and your lives will produce every kind of good fruit. All the while, you will grow as you learn to know God better and better. We also pray that you will be strengthened with all his glorious power so you will have all the endurance and patience you need. May you be filled with joy, always thanking the Father.
Partnership: We collaborate with churches and welcome their singles.
**** 1 Peter 4:10 NLT God has given each of you a gift from his great variety of spiritual gifts. Use them well to serve one another.
**** 3 John 1:8 NLT So we ourselves should support them so that we can be their partners as they teach the truth.
**** John 17:21 NLT I pray that they will all be one, just as you and I are one—as you are in me, Father, and I am in you. And may they be in us so that the world will believe you sent me.
**** Ephesians 4:11-13 NLT Now these are the gifts Christ gave to the church: the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, and the pastors and teachers. Their responsibility is to equip God’s people to do his work and build up the church, the body of Christ. This will continue until we all come to such unity in our faith and knowledge of God’s Son that we will be mature in the Lord, measuring up to the full and complete standard of Christ.
The purpose of this group is to provide opportunities for single Christian men and women to have fun, connect socially and share enjoyable experiences with each other, form friendships and long lasting relationships. It is a place where you can meet and connect with others who have common interests and shared values.
The age range of members in this group is from mid 40's to mid 60's with most members in their 50's and 60's.
Most of our events are located in and around the Central Maryland area, between Baltimore and Washington. We occasionally have an activity that takes us out of our local area, including Northern Virginia and/or North of Baltimore.
I believe that if we are disconnected from other people, we are often also disconnected from God, and by connecting with others who follow Jesus we will be encouraged in our spiritual life.
This group is not affiliated with a specific church or religious denomination. We are a social group of single Christians who come from various spiritual backgrounds. We share a common faith in Christ Jesus and we enjoy getting together to share fun experiences and grow spiritually and make memories.

I look forward to meeting you at an upcoming event.

Details about CityFam:
CityFam is more than a nonprofit organization. It is a movement of like-minded people who do life together. We create opportunities for our members to get together and have fun without regret. We also deepen our bonds by volunteering in our communities as well as globally. The result? A deep rooted community who tribes together!
Becoming the Best Version of Yourself. Some people call this self-actualization, others reaching their full potential. Whatever you call it, at CityFam we believe it doesn't happen without a community of like-minded people around you to inspire, encourage and support you; and if you surround yourself with people that are after that too, the process can be rather enjoyable.
Details about Singlefaith:
SINGLEFAITH exists to:
CONNECT Christian singles to one another to build a sense of community with healthy relationships. We have fun together, sharing experiences and making memories.
Encourage regional singles to PLUG INTO a local Bible-teaching church that focuses on the Gospel message of grace through Jesus Christ.
REACH OUT to singles where they are, to share the Good News of Jesus, and help singles reconcile to God through His Son Jesus Christ.
SUPPORT local churches that may not have enough resources to minister to the singles in their congregations.
Provide opportunities for singles to SERVE GOD alongside others in a similar life stage, with similar life experiences and common values.

Wreaths Across America - Crownsville WAA
Maryland Veterans Cemetary Crownsville, 1122 Sunrise Beach Road, Crownsville, MD, USSign up to volunteer to lay wreaths at the Crownsville Cemetery as part of the Wreaths Across America. The event starts at 12 noon but I would suggest in getting there at 11 since parking is a premium. I will park in the back and walk to the front for the ceremony. I would bring rope or a broom to carry many wreaths to the area that you will place them individually. They will have a small ceremony - various people laying wreaths from various military branches. Afterwards we then go and lay the wreaths at the grave sites. They will tell you what you will need to do. This can take 1 -2 hours. If there are a lot of people, it will take less time. You will need to sign up as a volunteer. Here is the website for the Wreaths Across America – Crownsville WAA - https://www.wreathsacrossamerica.org/pages/45271/Overview/?relatedId=0 I hope to see you all there.
Detailed info for Saturday
Wreath laying follows the ceremony. Do not immediately lay a wreath on any grave that is flagged with a pink marker flag. These are graves that have had a grave specific wreath sponsored. Please give their family and friends the opportunity to lay their wreath. Before you leave the section, please make sure all pink flags have a wreath. Remove the flag and return on your way out of the cemetery.
Boxes of wreaths will be placed around the cemetery. Please do not open them until after the ceremony.
*At that time, please take 1 wreath.
*You may take the tag off of the back of the wreath as a keepsake of the day.
*Straighten the bow and fluff the branches. We have wreaths to cover 80% of the cemetery. That may change to a higher number if we get a gift of extra wreaths from Maine.
*Place a wreath at the base of the headstone with the bow at the top.
*Please say their name as you are placing the wreath. It is said that we die twice. Once when our heart stops beating and again, when our names are said for the last time.
*Thank them for their service. If you feel comfortable, give them a salute and/or a prayer before moving on.
*Please do the same for any graves that will not have a wreath.
*After everyone has placed 1 wreath, you may go back and place another.
*Break down empty boxes and open them completely so they can lay flat, place them at the curb in a pile. If you can, take a box or 2 home for recycling.
We do have a dumpster for boxes and could use help at the dumpster as well as transporting boxes to the dumpster.
We thank you for making this event a huge success. For allowing us to Remember, Honor and Teach. We thank you for reading this post. We thank you for your patience on ceremony day. We are all volunteers and trying our hardest to make everything go smoothly. The focus of the day is our veterans. The wreaths are a symbol of our respect.
Sincerely,
Jill and Scott Harris
