The hike to Greenwater and Echo Lakes features stunning trails nestled deep in the wilderness North East of Mount Rainier - the trails takes us through lush old-growth forests, rushing rivers and serene lakes. We will climb Mount Si, one of the most well-known hikes in the Central Cascades. Si is known for its old-growth forest, beautiful summit with a fantastic view of the surrounding area, convenient proximity to Seattle, and challenging-but-not-too-challenging ascent for intermediate hikers.
With a roundtrip distance to the peak at around 8 miles, and roughly 3300 feet of elevation gain, it's on the longer and the steeper side, so it's rated Hard by AllTrails and WTA.
We'll be making friends, staying fit, and having fun!
We will first meet at the Wilburton P&R. Carpooling is encouraged but you can also drive directly to the trailhead and meet us there:
