Mindfulness Hike
9955 Andora Ave, Chatsworth, CA, USSpecial Mindfulness Hike in the Santa Susana Pass State Historic Park
Difficulty Level: Moderate
Distance: 2.0 miles
Entrance: Andora Trailhead, 9861 Andora, Chatsworth, CA 91311
Theme: Mindfulness
Hike Leader: WendiBy popular demand, we are offering a Mindfulness hike for the public. This hike is appropriate for adults and teenagers ages 14 years and older. Dogs are NOT allowed on this hike.
The Andora Trailhead is just south of the Oakwood Cemetery in Chatsworth. 9955 Andora, Chatsworth, CA 91311 Look for the opening in the fence and the brown State Park kiosk. Park on the street. DO NOT follow the online directions to the State Park because it will take you to the wrong park.
Wear long pants because the brush is thick and sticky. A light jacket or long-sleeved shirt is also recommended. Although we try to avoid poison oak, sometimes it is encountered. Wear sturdy hiking boots. Some hikers prefer a walking stick. Bring plenty of water.
The SSPSHP is primitive – this means that there are no toilets after you leave the Andora trailhead, so please plan accordingly.
Rain cancels, even light rain. If the temperature reaches 90 degrees, there is dense fog, or there is a red flag warning, the hike will be canceled.
