Hello!
The Salem Spanish is a social group for people to come and practice speaking Spanish. This is a group for all skill levels - whether you are just learning or you are a native speaker that wants to stay connected with Spanish. Come and enjoy some coffee and conversation! Any minors need to be accompanied by an adult.
There will be time for conversation, some tips of the day instruction for those that wish to partake, and some prompts.
Rules:
This is a group for practicing / speaking in Spanish. Members must make an attempt to speak in Spanish 80% of the time or more. If you don't know how to speak much Spanish, listening to others can be really helpful.
If someone is using English the majority of the time, then members will politely disengage and speak with someone that is using Spanish.
Please take turns talking.
This group is a safe place for LGBTQ+ and BIPOC. All conversation will be respectful to marginalized groups.
Please note, a no show is when someone is registered to attend an event, but doesn't come and doesn't communicate that they won't be making it. Two no-shows in a row result in being removed from the group.
