What we’re about
Weekend road bicycling in Rio Rancho. Most Saturdays we kick off the ride at the Alameda Open Space and ride the Bosque Trail down to Rio Bravo and back (about 27 miles), up to the top of Tramway (~20 miles) or up 313 into Bernalillo. Depending on how we feel, we might complete two legs or even all three! Open to orher routes as well. Riders of all ages welcome, but targeting those middle-aged and moderately competitive -- looking to keep a 15-20 mph pace. (If it matters, I'm in my mid-50s and ride a Specialized Tarmac SL6)
Training objective is a century (100 mile) ride in Little Rock, Arkansas, every September.
