Is RAG really yesterday’s news, or is the rumor of its demise greatly exaggerated?In this talk, I will break down the case against RAG, share what the latest research and real-world experience reveal, and show why retrieval still matters. Along the way, I will explore when RAG falls short, where it shines, and what the future holds as language models continue to evolve at a rapid pace."

Every day, AI agents make high-stakes decisions in production pipelines—sometimes with more creativity than honesty. Recent research found that even top-tier reasoning models fail to admit when their output was unfaithful, with over 75% of their chain-of-thought traces omitting critical context. I decided to do a quick faithfulness audit on my own AI agents, and the results shocked me.
In this talk, I’ll share my findings, discuss what works (and what doesn’t) when trying to achieve faithful responses from AI agents, and explore what this could mean for the future as these systems become even more capable."### Important Notes
