IMPORTANT: Check the website (pedalers.org) for all ride rating, safety, and etiquette guides. Choosing the correct ride for your fitness level will help ensure you have the best possible group cycling experience.

Besides supporting the largest recreational cycling club in Reno-Tahoe, club members enjoy insurance on all club rides and members-only special events (Hooray for Spring, Mormon Station annual picnic, Mt. Rose Challenge, Holiday Party, and more). Visit our new website at pedalers.org.
E-Bikes: All but Class 2 E-bikes are welcome. Ride leaders may not be equipped to handle mechanical issues so have a backup plan.

See all- Coffee House Breakfast Ride (members only)- Outlaw Coffee VerdiDorostkar Park , Reno , NV
About 18 miles C rating
8:00 AM
Start: Dorostkar Park on Mayberry
Ride Leader: Tim SullivanDescription: The Coffee House Ride this week will be a breakfast ride to Outlaw Coffee. Because it's a breakfast ride, this is open to club members only AND HAS AN RSVP DEADLINE of Tuesday at noon. EARLY START to avoid the heat! The ride starts at Dorostkar Park towards the west end of Mayberry, then does the classic Verdi loop with an option for an extra loop as we leave Mogul. We stop for breakfast at Outlaw on the way home, then continue back to the park to finish. The Outlaws have been there for a while, serving breakfast, lunch, and more espresso flavorings than I've seen anywhere in Reno. New owners have fixed up the inside, made the outside seating very nice, with the same excellent eats. As they claim, "Nearly Fine Dining"!
Because Outlaw needs a count of people before we arrive, I NEED RSVPs by NOON on TUESDAY. No exceptions; RSVPs will cut off at noon.
E-BIKE NOTE: The ride leader is unable to handle e-bike mechanical issues (battery failure, flat tires, etc). Please have a backup plan for these events. Class 2 e-bikes are not permitted as they are not covered by club insurance.
RIDE SWEEP: Most of these rides will NOT have an official "sweeper." The ride leader will aim to regroup at certain points. We do not want to lose anyone; however, please note the ride levels (C).
NOTES: Check the Meetup posting 2 hours before ride time for weather-related and other changes. Helmets are required and bikes should be in good working order. For the safety of all riders, please do not use earbuds, headphones, or music players as they can interfere with the ability of riders to hear safety warnings (e.g. "Car back"). It is recommended you wear bright colors so drivers can see you. Our ride leaders may offer help with bicycle mechanical issues but are not bike mechanics. Be sure your bike has been checked by a proper mechanic to be sure it fits you correctly and is operating properly. Bring tire-changing tools, a spare tube & pump (or CO2 cartridge set-up), and you should know how to change a tire & care for your bike.
RIDE SERIES DESCRIPTION: The Pedaler Coffee House Rides are designed for those who want a relatively easy, social ride, with the main goal of hanging out for good pastry and espresso after the ride. Most would be rated C/C-. We will depart from a different coffee house or bakery each time. When it warms up and we can start early, we will do breakfast rides (open to real members only, and subject to sign-up deadlines!).
RIDE RATINGS: Unless the ride is posted “no drop,” you will be expected to maintain the pace set as stated in the ride description. It is important to confirm your ability to do this ride. Review the map/route sheet if provided, and the ride rating as stated in the Ride Rating Sheet - (http://www.pedalers.org/RideRatingSheet2018.pdf) If you have questions, contact the ride host.
