About us
Moderate-paced walks for adults with active work and life schedules, newcomers, and anyone who enjoys thoughtful conversation.
This group is designed for people who:
• are new to the Eastside or looking to expand their local circle
• prefer smaller, more relaxed gatherings over large events
• enjoy engaging conversation across work, life, and current topics
• want a steady, moderate walking pace (not a slow stroll, not a fitness hike)
A consistent space to walk, talk, and meet interesting people in the area.
We rotate among four roughly 3-mile routes, all starting and ending at Luke McRedmond Park:
• Sammamish River — river, Redmond Central Connector, and Powerline trails
• Windmill — Marymoor Park, the historic Clise Estate, and windmill
• Osprey — Marymoor Park, open fields, and osprey nesting areas
• Urban Redmond — Bear Creek, public art, light rail, and downtown trails
Walks are typically held on Sundays around 10:00 am–11:15 am. We gather at the covered pavilion at the south end of Luke McRedmond Park. From the Luke McRedmond parking lot, walk south/southwest along the grassy lot/dog park. Exact Google Maps coordinates are: 47°40'21.1"N 122°07'54.3"W
We walk primarily on paved trails. Please arrive a few minutes early so we can begin on time. Out of respect for everyone’s schedules, the walk starts promptly at the posted time.
