Meeting new people is a challenge and do you ever find yourself having more than enough things to do but no one to do it with. Expect an eclectic mix of activities ranging from happy hours to movies, plays or concerts, live music, dancing, and outdoorsy stuff like kayaking or bicycling and more (whatever randomly pops in our heads or you suggest). Expect food of some sort before, after or during many events.
This group is for people who don't take themselves too seriously and want to meet others in small groups.
If you want to be an event host so you may post an outing just let us know. The cool thing about hosting is you pick, the what, where and when of things that you want to do!
Please invite others to join our group to help it be vibrant.

Don't send instant messages through meetup to folks you haven't met. Propositions to meet outside of meetup events to a virtual stranger is creepy. Of course a relevant message to an event host regarding an upcoming meetup is different.

Players there are plenty of other sites if you just want to hook up one on one, don't make folks feel unsafe here. If you have done a meetup with someone and want to send them a good to see/meet you followup to me that is totally different, but if they do not reply or aren't interested don't be a "meetup creep". Of course it's great if folks "meetup" and some magic develops. So please remember while it is fun to "meetup", this group is not "hookup.com" or "match.com". Not everyone here is single or seeking a romance.
Remember if you receive an unsolicited message or suspicious or inappropriate behavior, please report it to Paul S, it is grounds for immediate dismissal of violating party. They probably are spamming others here and in other groups. We will ban them.

Introductory Latin Dance Class and Dance Party
$10. Prior participants welcome. New format! Rather than 1 step in about 4 dances
WE will learn 3 steps in 3 or 4 different dances.
- Bachata, you can dance this to latin songs and it is fun to blues too
- Rumba (very useful on slow songs to be a little more sophisticated than just doing that 7th grade snuggle we did)
- Salsa, very popular and sexy, learn a couple easy steps with us
Plus to learn a fun easy line dance you see at most Pinellas venues or weddings, the Cupid Shuffle.

AGENDA
At 6:15 we will be having a meet and greet with champagne to get everyone nice and relaxed before dancing.
Then starting at 6:30pm we will have dynamic dance demonstration of a Latin Dance to get everyone pumped up for the lesson right after. During the lesson you will be taught a few of the most popular Latin Dances in the Tampa Bay area.
These dances include Bachata, Rumba and Salsa They also will teach a fun and easy line dance, the Cupid Shuffle.
No partner needed, this will be lessons with rotating partners, really a nice mixer and party afterwards. So singles or couples, or bring a friend.
Dance Passion makes it super easy, even if you have no experience and/or feel shy or introverted.
They hope you will schedule a free introductory individual lesson to learn even more on a later date which is included in your $10 admission.

Masks are optional. We do ask if you have a cough or are feeling less than 100% you stay home. Please know that we will miss you and hope you attend at a later date when you are 100%.

Come paint a beautiful sunset on the beach at Honeymoon Island! Relax, get creative, and enjoy the view.

Painting begins around 6:00PM and goes until approximately 8:00 PM. Sunset is at about 8:00 PM.
Location: We will be at North Beach on Honeymoon Island.
Park near the bath house/bathrooms and walk due west toward the water. This is our standard location unless otherwise stated.
What’s Included:
Your ticket includes a canvas and all painting supplies: easel, paint, brushes, and more. You just bring yourself, a friend or two, and your creativity. No painting experience needed — your instructor will guide you step by step.
Prefer to sit casually? Bring a beach towel or blanket (something you don’t mind getting paint on). Easels are optional.
The beach sand adds real texture to your painting. Feel free to get creative — add shells for a mixed-media effect!

Important Details:

Event is limited to 10 participants — tickets must be purchased in advance (no cash sales at the event)
Weather Policy:
Honeymoon Island weather can change quickly. This event is planned for rain or shine. The only reason for cancellation is if rain between 6–9 PM is heavy enough to cause water to run off the canvas. If that happens, you can use your ticket as a rain check for another Honeymoon Island paint event within 4 months.
If the event is cancelled due to weather, it will be rescheduled for the next event which is within 2–4 weeks. We now host two paint parties per month at Honeymoon Island.
Concerning reservations:
To guarantee your spot and size of canvas/wood, purchase your ticket by the day before the event.
