Hands-On Make.com Automation Workshop + Holiday Social
Make.com (Celonis), 223 S West St 14th floor, Raleigh, NC, USDate: Monday, December 9
Time: 4:00–6:00 p.m. (workshop) + Holiday Social immediately after
Location: Celonis (make.com office), Raleigh, NC
Are you still moving work forward with emails, spreadsheets, and “Who’s got this?” messages in Teams or Slack?
This December, PM Network Alliance is partnering with the make.com team for a hands-on workshop on building real workflow automations that you can take back to your organization the next day.
### Why this session matters
We’ll focus on practical use cases you’re likely already struggling with:
- Automating intake and approvals (requests, tickets, change orders, onboarding, etc.)
- Connecting tools like Teams, Outlook, Jira, Monday.com, ServiceNow, SharePoint, HubSpot, and others
- Reducing manual status chasing and handoffs between teams and systems
- Turning repetitive PM/ops tasks into repeatable, trackable workflows
- Giving AI agents a clear “lane” to work in instead of ad-hoc experiments
Bring the processes that eat your time today — we’ll help you map and automate them live.
### What you’ll learn (4:00–6:00 p.m. workshop)
With guided, step-by-step instruction and on-site support from the make.com team, you’ll learn how to:
Connect an AI agent to your workflow
- Where agents add value (and where they don’t)
- How to safely route tasks, data, and decisions through an agent
- Set up a workflow in make.com
- Trigger types (forms, emails, webhooks, system events)
- Choosing the right pattern for your use case
- Configure and harden a workflow
- Routing logic, conditions, and error handling
- Logging, notifications, and simple guardrails for production use
You’ll also walk away with:
- A live automation or proof-of-concept built around your own use case
- A free make.com account to continue building after the event
- A simple checklist for evaluating future automation opportunities in your portfolio
- A clearer picture of how PMs and product/ops leaders can own the automation roadmap (without waiting on a huge IT project)
### Prerequisites for the hands-on workshop
To get the most out of the 4:00–6:00 p.m. session, please make sure you:
- ✅ Have a make.com account
- You’ll receive access details via the registration link, but please make sure your account is active before you arrive.
- ✅ Bring your own laptop
- This is a working session. Tablets alone won’t be ideal — a full laptop is strongly recommended.
- ✅ Have at least one data source/use case ready
- Examples: a SharePoint list, Excel/Google Sheet, Jira board, ticketing system, CRM, or internal form.
- Bring login access and a simple process you’d like to automate (intake, approvals, notifications, status updates, etc.).
### Holiday Social (after 6:00 p.m.)
Immediately after the workshop, we’ll roll into a PMNA holiday social for networking, war stories, and comparing notes on how everyone is using AI and automation going into 2025.
