About us
Let's play games at Spielbound! The goal is to create a community of people to get to know each other and play both planned and pick-up games at Omaha's local Board Game Cafe and Library, Spielbound.
While there will be some events posted here, games at other times are always encouraged!
If you would like to post an event to this group, contact Lily Wang, an organizer of this group and Volunteer Coordinator at Spielbound. I will be happy to post your event here, and on the Spielbound calendar and Facebook page as well if you like!
Please note that Spielbound does charge a day pass for use of their games. The prices are currently $6 Sunday - Thursday, and $7 Friday and Saturday. Spielbound serves beverages of all kinds, and has a small selection of food, and outside food (not beverages) is also allowed.
Spielbound is located a block south of the main Midtown Crossing thoroughfare, at 3229 Harney St. Omaha, NE 68131.

Blood on the Clocktower - in the Annex!
Spielbound Board Game Cafe, 3229 Harney St, Omaha, NE, USBlood on the Clocktower (BotC) is currently the #1 rated party game on Boardgamegeek.com! We are so pleased that the local community playing BotC at Spielbound has grown such that multiple simultaneous games are being run at each of our BotC meet ups!
To accommodate that growth, Spielbound is each quarter reserving the *entire* Annex, solely for a BotC meet up - the next full Annex BotC event is scheduled for Monday, September 21 from 5:30 - 10:30 PM!
- A day pass is required to join this special event ($6 per person on Mondays or current Spielbound member); please check in with the front cafe staff when you arrive.
- Those who have never played 'Blood on the Clocktower' at Spielbound are welcome to attend for free to try it out! Storytellers will be on hand to explain the game rules to novice players, starting at 5:30 PM~
- Return players ... feel free to dress up as your favorite BotC character for this kick-off all-Annex event!
More on the game:
Blood on the Clocktower is a game of murder and mystery, lies and logic, deduction and deception for five-to-twenty courageous players and one devious storyteller.A social game played in person, seated in a circle, each player receives either a ‘good’ or ‘evil’ token with their unique character on it. Good players share information to solve the mystery whilst evil players lie about who they are and what they know. The good team wins if they can piece together their knowledge, trust each other, and execute the demon. The evil team wins if the demon can sow distrust, evade detection, and wipe out the village.
