In September we will be holding another book group meeting, and this time we will be discussing The Righteous Mind: Why Good People Are Divided by Politics and Religion by Jonathan Haidt:
Why can’t our political leaders work together as threats loom and problems mount? Why do people so readily assume the worst about the motives of their fellow citizens? In The Righteous Mind, social psychologist Jonathan Haidt explores the origins of our divisions and points the way forward to mutual understanding.
The book is available in physical, electronic and audio versions (and if you have a Spotify premium subscription it is in their library). A bit closer to the time I will try to find some videos and podcasts that discuss the book for those who don’t want to read the whole thing.
As usual the main topic will be followed by hot beverages, yummy biscuits and some friendly chat. We hope you can join us.
