About us
Formerly Paris Book Club 📚
A relaxed book club that meets once or twice a month to read, reflect, and discuss a book together over a coffee or drink. We also plan to host other bookish events from time to time, so stay tuned! ✨
This group was originally created from a simple idea: a growing stack of wonderful books and the desire to share thoughts, impressions, and conversations around them.
The atmosphere is informal, friendly, and welcoming—there's no pressure to be an expert, just a love of reading and good conversation.
General information:
- New events will be published a few weeks in advance to allow everyone enough time to read the book.
- Everyone is welcome.
- Discussions will be in English.
- I will message you directly to confirm your attendance and invite you to the WhatsApp event group.
- Please RSVP only if you're reasonably sure you can attend.
- If something comes up and you're unable to make it, please update your RSVP as soon as possible so someone on the waitlist can take your place.
Thank you for helping keep the group welcoming and fair for everyone. 💛

About the book:
'All human beings, as we meet them, are commingled out of good and evil: and Edward Hyde, alone in the ranks of mankind, was pure evil'
Published as a shilling shocker, Robert Louis Stevenson's dark psychological fantasy gave birth to the idea of the split personality. The story of respectable Dr Jekyll's strange association with damnable young man Edward Hyde; the hunt through fog-bound London for a killer; and the final revelation of Hyde's true identity is a chilling exploration of humanity's basest capacity for evil.
