About us
Welcome to Outdoor Adventure Friends! We are a welcoming group comprised of former strangers, now friends, with diverse backgrounds. Our bond is a common sense of adventure and desire to share experiences with others. Activities include hiking, kayaking, biking, camping and some other social events/trips. The majority of our events span across the Phila., Lehigh, Pocono, Reading, New Jersey and Hudson Valley areas. We are an all year round active group with multiple events weekly and a variety of leaders, each bringing a unique style. Group is open to all that are 21 and over and have a basic fitness and like to exercise in the outdoors.

General Release of Liability is accepted when you join the group. Meetup organizers are not professionally trained guides or trained in medical emergencies. We are simply a group of volunteers with a shared passion for the outdoors and getting others together. You will never be forced to do something you do not want to do or forced to participate in any activity while on an event. Participant acknowledges and accepts all risks associated with participating in an activity hosted by Outdoor Adventure Friends. By attending an event you are agreeing that YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR OWN SAFETY AT ALL TIMES. No member of the group EXCEPT YOURSELF can be held responsible for any damages, accidents, or liabilities incurred while participating in events with us.

15 mile easy - moderate bike ride and brunch - Monroe Township Bike Trail
Williamstown Middle School, 561 Clayton Rd., Williamstown, NJ, USWe'll have a fun caual ride of just under 8 miles each way on the paved Monroe Township Bike Path with a little bit of lightly traveled street riding; stop for brunch in Glassboro; then return to our meeting location for a total of 15 miles.
Note: Meeting time is 9:45; so we can leave by 10:00.We will be moving at about 10-12 mph on this very flat route (no hills). We will pause to wait for everyone to catch up so we stay together. Please be sure you can maintain this pace so you don't hold the group up.
We’ll do Brunch at a new cafe in Glassboro which has been getting rave reviews! called Poppy & Pine which is just down the street from Rowan University.
Poppy & Pine | Coffee & Brunch on Rowan Boulevard | Glassboro, NJWhile not required, it is a good idea to have a headlight and taillight as we will be doing about 1-1/2 miles of road riding. Bright colors are also recommended.
The Monroe Township Bike Path is a paved trail with only about 9 street crossings on it's 6-1/2 mile length.

This trail follows a former railroad line that once served New Jersey beach towns from Atlantic City to Cape May.Helmets are required on my rides. Anyone without a helmet will be removed from the ride. This is non-negotiable.
Please have a spare tube for your size tire and a flat repair kit. Bring water, snack, electrolyte as you see fit.
