🌊 A Saturday of doing some good, getting on the water, meeting great people, and having the kind of Saturday you'll actually want to tell people about. 🛶🌿

One Love Foundation is teaming up with Shark Gang and Trashy Girl Collective for a special day celebrating community, conservation, and the outdoors at East Greynolds Park.

Shark Gang recently adopted East Greynolds Park, and we're coming together to celebrate this new partnership while helping take care of the park and its surrounding waterways. 💚🌎 We’re bringing together a few organizations and community members who care about protecting our Earth's natural spaces. 💙🌊
And this isn’t your typical volunteer event…

🛶 Kayaks + paddleboards will be available FREE of charge for volunteers!
We will have kayaks and paddles for us to use during the event. So yes — you can spend part of the day actually getting out on the water, exploring the park, and enjoying South Florida the way it was meant to be enjoyed. 🌴☀️

🍴 Potluck-style celebration
Bring a dish, snack, drink, or something fun to share if you'd like! Some food and beverages will also be provided, so come hungry and ready to hang out.

Come spend the day giving back to our planet, getting out on the water, meeting great people, and being part of something bigger than yourself. 🌎🛶

### 🌴 A Little About the Organizations

One Love Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to creating meaningful community impact through hands-on initiatives that support people, animals, and the planet. We will be partnering to help bring our community together around our shared commitment to protecting our planet. 🌎💚
This event falls under One Love Foundation's Planet pillar — supporting environmental stewardship and creating opportunities for people to get involved in protecting the places we all share.

Shark Gang is an environmental organization bringing people together through ocean conservation, environmental education, and hands-on action. They have recently adopted East Greynolds Park and we will be celebrating this new milestone alongside with them.🦈🌊

Trashy Girl Collective is an environmental organization focused on hands-on conservation through waterway cleanups, beach cleanups, scuba cleanups, and other coastal initiatives.

🐶 Bringing your dog?

East Greynolds Park also has a dog park, so if your pup is looking for an adventure too, feel free to bring them along! 🐾
Just keep in mind that dogs won't be participating in the water activities or cleanup itself, so they'll need to stay with you while you're at the park or enjoy some time at the dog park while you paddle and volunteer.

🐶❤️ One Love Foundation-Pawventures Edition: Social Walks for Shelter Dogs

❤️ One Love Foundation is organizing a special Pawventures day at the Miami-Dade Animal Shelter.

Fresh air, movement, and human attention make a huge difference for shelter dogs. These outings help reduce stress, improve behavior, and allow their true personalities to shine — which can meaningfully increase their chances of adoption ❤️🐶.

Arrival: 11:30am

💛 We will meet at the Miami Dade Shelter entrance lobby where the shelter staff will sign us up and hand over our pup for the day. We will be going out in pairs (2 people per pup).
After pickup, we’ll be transporting the pups by car to a nearby park (just a short drive away). Each pair will need access to one vehicle.

At the park we will go for a walk, have playtime with our pups, and spend quality one-on-one attention. Along the way, we’ll capture pup spotlights 📸 — photos and short videos that highlight each dog’s personality, quirks, and charm so they can be shared with the world.

🐾 Important Safety Notes

To keep this a fun, calm, and safe experience for everyone we’ll be following a couple simple guidelines:

• Dogs must stay spaced apart during the walk (no nose-to-nose meetups).
• We’ll be enjoying the park around the dog park, but not going inside the fenced dog park area.

The shelter pups are total sweethearts but still working on their social skills 🥹
A little space and skipping the dog park helps keep tails wagging, stress low, and vibes good for everyone 🐶💛

Whether you’ve joined a One Love event before or it’s your first time, everyone is welcome to join in and make a real impact. 💫

If you’d like to add a little extra kindness, you’re welcome to bring a small gift 🎁 for the pups — treats, toys, a bandana or anything simple they can enjoy. Totally optional, but always appreciated. Feel free to bring fun accessories, bandanas, or your camera for those unforgettable moments.

Important Note:

📅 Please rsvp at least 3 days before the shelter day in order to guarantee your spot. If you are not able to go, please also update your rsvp so that other members may have the chance to fill in for your spot!

Pawventure days do fill up quickly. We will submit our confirmed headcount to the shelter that day and sign ups will close after that. If you didn’t get a chance to rsvp, you can join us at the park to play with the pups and take spotlight pictures!

After the walks, you’re welcome to stay and help capture a few photos or short videos of the pups, or simply enjoy some time at the park with your shelter pup and fellow volunteers knowing you made a difference. Every spotlight, every share, and every small gesture helps these dogs get one step closer to finding a home 🏡 .

🎥 Short videos are incredibly powerful and highly encouraged 🌟. If you can, take 15–30 seconds to share what you experienced with your pup — are they gentle? playful? a total cuddle bug?

❤️🌱 One Love Foundation & Green Haven Project: Feeding Communities in Need 🥕

There’s something powerful about knowing the food you helped grow will end up on the table of a family who truly needs it. 🌱

This event will be part of Smile Day, a community outreach initiative organized by Smile Trust that brings families together to receive fresh food and support from local partners.

For this Smile Day, One Love Foundation will be partnering with Green Haven Project, an incredible local organization that grows fresh fruits and vegetables that are distributed to families in need. ❤️

Together, we’ll spend the day helping in the gardens where produce is grown and assisting with preparing and serving fresh food to families in the community.

This event supports One Love Foundation's people pillar, bringing volunteers together to serve the community and care for the planet.

One Love Foundation focuses on three pillars of impact: People, Animals, and Planet — supporting communities in need, promoting animal welfare, and protecting the environment through hands-on volunteer initiatives.

Part of our group will spend time working in the gardens, helping grow the fruits and vegetables that will later feed local families.

A small group of volunteers (about 10–15 people) will also have the opportunity to assist with food distribution, helping serve fresh produce to families as they arrive. Our friends at Smile Trust will be bringing the families to the location as part of the day’s community outreach.

No gardening experience is required — just bring your curiosity, kindness, and maybe a friend who enjoys doing good.

One Love Foundation is heading to the Miami Dade Animal Shelter for a special Day of Service, and this is about more than just one Sunday at the shelter. We're kicking off something bigger. 👀🐾

With more than 700+ dogs between the Doral and Medley locations, the shelter needs all the help they can get! Each one has their own personality, needs, and story — and each deserves care while waiting for a family to call its own. 🐕💚

We'll start with a presentation and a tour of the facility to learn more about the shelter's mission and the work that goes into caring for animals in need. Then, we'll roll up our sleeves and get a taste of what it's like to be a shelter volunteer through hands-on activities supporting the animals and their well-being. In the end, we will have the chance to register to become a regular volunteer to keep our impact alive!🐾🐶🐱

It's a great opportunity to experience animal welfare volunteering firsthand, learn about the different ways to get involved, and discover how you can continue making a difference beyond this one event!

Volunteers are the heart of the mission to save lives. Every life saved starts with people who care enough to show up. Every act of care, every moment of compassion, and every helping hand brings these pups and kittens one step closer to a second chance at life. 🐾🐕

### 🐶 First Up: A Day of Service

We'll be visiting the Miami Dade Animal Shelter for an introduction to the shelter, a facility tour, and hands-on animal welfare activities.
We'll learn more about the shelter's mission before rolling up our sleeves to support the shelter dogs/cats. 🐕

Expect a meaningful experience, plenty of furry faces, and the chance to meet people who share your love for animals and your desire to give back.

Important Tidbits: Volunteers must be at least 15 years old and accompanied by a parent/guardian. Volunteers should wear close toed shoes and long solid pants (jeans/khakis - no skirts, shorts, ripped jeans, open-toed shoes or leggings).

### 💚 More Than One Day of Service

You will have the opportunity to take the next step and become a permanent shelter volunteer and expand your impact!
After our Day of Service, interested participants can request the sign up forms to begin the shelter's volunteer application and background clearance process.

The shelter requires a two-hour orientation, offered on:
🗓️ Saturdays at 10:00 AM
🗓️ The 1st or 3rd Thursday of each month at 5:00 PM

Once you've completed the shelter's requirements, there are many ways to get involved, including:

🐕 Dog walking and cat enrichment - Walk, exercise, and socialize shelter animals.
🏡 Adoption support - Help prospective adopters connect with animals looking for homes.
🧼 Animal care and bathing - Assist with grooming and other approved care duties.
🩺 Clinic support - Support the shelter's healthcare team with approved tasks.
📸 Photography assistance - Help animals get ready for photos that can introduce them to potential adopters.
🚐 Mobile adoptions - Help bring adoptable pets into the community.
🐾 Puppy/kitten fostering - Provide a temporary home for eligible animals who need one.
🎉 Special events, outreach, and more!

There's room to contribute in different ways depending on your interests, skills, eligibility, and the shelter's needs.
