About us
Let's explore the north Olympic Peninsula together.
All adults over 18 are welcome. We will do a wide range of hikes, from easy 3 mile walks on the Olympic Discovery Trail to difficult 12 mile hikes in the Olympic National Park. We will also do some cycling and kayaking events.
All members are responsible for themselves. By attending any event, you expressly agree to hold me, and any other leaders, harmless for any and all liabilities and claims before, during, and after an event.
I am not a guide, nor an expert and this is a group of friends who exercise in the outdoors together. The outdoors can be dangerous, even more so on the water. You are expected to be prepared for the conditions and to behave responsibly.

Slab Camp Trail #838
Slab Camp Creek/Deer Ridge Trailhead, Sequim, WA, USThis is a 6 mile round trip, out-and-back trail. Generally considered a moderate route, it takes about 3.5 hours to complete. Elevation gain is about 1,000 feet.
We hike close to 3 miles through the Buckhorn Wilderness forest down to the Gray Wolf river. The trail slopes gently at the start, then starts to descend more steeply before getting to a junction with the Slab Camp Creek and following it down to the Gray Wolf River.
At the river we'll take a rest at the camp site, have a snack and then head back. The elevation gain is all on our way back up.
We'll meet at 10am at the Slab Camp Trailhead which is on FR 2875 exactly 9.6 miles from the Sinclair gas station at the corner of Taylor Cutoff Rd and 101. From the Sinclair gas station drive 5.2 miles on Taylor Cutoff Rd which transitions to become Lost Mountain Rd. Turn left onto Slab Camp Rd. Drive 0.9 miles and turn right. Drive an additional 3.5 miles to the Slab Camp/Deer Ridge trailheads. Lots of parking available.
