What we’re about
This group is open to all ages and aims to organise a variety of events that appeal to a wide range of interests. If you live in or near Nottingham and want to meet new friends and have some fun days and nights out then do join us. I can promise you will meet some great people, make new friends and enjoy yourself.
We have strong links with Nottingham Gig Buddies and Nottingham Culture & Café Scientifique, with whom we share many members; so why not join as many as you like and have a packed social calendar!

Never ceilidh’d before? (Kay-Lea, by the way 👀)
No worries — I, Schuggie 😍, will be calling the dances, guiding you through every step, spin and stumble. It’s basically impossible to get it “wrong” because most people are winging it anyway 🤣. That’s the magic.
You’ll be dancing with everyone – mates, strangers, maybe your future best friend. We’ve got Ceilidh Ninjas floating around to help you out if you lose the plot mid-twirl.

A chance to burn off the Christmas calories with a hilly walk across open fields with a few Stiles to climb over.
There will be some mud, come prepared!!!!
Heading out from the car park to New Swannington via the fields.
Crossing Redhill Lane and heading up to the church.
We take a 30-minute break at The New Inn.
Downhill to Swannington, passing Hough windmill. We then head towards the hermitage lake via Swannington incline.
