About us
π¦οΈ Thereβs No Such Thing as Bad Weather β Walking & Hiking Group πΆββοΈπΆββοΈ
.........Only bad clothing choices.
Weather Warriors welcome!
This is not your typical walking/Hiking group β and thatβs very much on purpose. This group is for people who love being outside, who enjoy walking in all seasons, and who understand that weather isnβt something we wait out β itβs something we walk with. Rain, snow, wind, heat, grey skies, sunshineβ¦ this is Toronto, and this is the experience. We are weather warriors π¬οΈββοΈπ β we show up prepared, adaptable, and ready to move.
Toronto is one of the greenest cities in the world, filled with ravines, neighbourhood routes, parks, trails, and hidden gems. This group will explore 50+ walking and hiking routes across the city, always transit-accessible, always grounded in connection, movement, and shared experience.
Our walks are on the leisure side β not too slow, not too fast β designed for people who want to move their bodies and talk while doing it. This is a social walking group. By the end of a walk, the hope is that youβve met someone new, shared a conversation, or simply enjoyed being part of a group moving together.
Hereβs what makes us different π
We donβt cancel walks just because of the weather. Other groups do β we donβt. Walks go ahead rain or shine. Sometimes routes may be adjusted, shortened, or adapted based on conditions, but the expectation is simple: when you sign up, weβre going.
That means this group is best suited for people who:
π€οΈ Check the weather before they RSVP
π§₯ Know what conditions theyβre comfortable walking in
βοΈ Dress for the forecast (boots, umbrellas, layers β all welcome)
π§ Take ownership of their decision to attend
π€ Understand that an RSVP is a commitment to the group
You are always welcome to:
β Join the group and attend only the walks that suit you
β Decide on the day and show up without RSVPing
β RSVP later once youβre confident the weather meets your needs
What doesnβt work here is signing up in advance and cancelling last-minute because the weather wasnβt what you expected. When people RSVP, others plan around that β routes, pacing, safety, and the shared sense of βweβre doing this together.β That follow-through matters in this group.
Extreme or unsafe conditions (severe cold, extreme heat, dangerous wind) will always be an organizer call. This isnβt about being reckless β itβs about being prepared, realistic, and grounded.
Above all, this is a friendly, respectful, easy-going community. Everyone is welcome. Everyone is treated with care. We also respect boundaries: no unsolicited messages, no pressure, no assumptions. Connection happens naturally, on the walk.
If youβre looking for a walking group that embraces the seasons, values commitment, and believes that showing up β in life and in weather β is kind of the pointβ¦ youβre in the right place π²π£

π» Ghost Tour: The Exhibition Grounds π‘
Medieval Times Dinner & Tournament, 10 dufferin Street, Toronto, ON, CA# π» Ghost Tour: The Exhibition Grounds π‘
### Toronto's Haunted Fairgrounds, Dark History & One Building I Don't Like Being Near
The Exhibition Grounds have spent more than a century hosting crowds, celebrations, soldiers, shows, and some of Toronto's biggest events.
But underneath all that history is a darker side. The Exhibition Grounds are said to be one of the most haunted places in Toronto β and I'll be honest: this is the one place on my ghost walks that genuinely scares me.
There's something about the atmosphere here.
Some buildings have an energy that feels different. And when you know what happened in them, it's hard not to look at them a little differently. On this evening ghost walk, we'll explore the grounds and hear stories of soldiers, settlers, performers, animals, tragedies, and people who may never have completely left.
This isn't just about trying to scare you.
It's about discovering the strange history hiding underneath one of Toronto's most familiar landmarks.π± Don't forget to join our WhatsApp Group β CLICK HERE
***
## π» What We'll Explore
We'll begin outside Medieval Times and make our way across the Exhibition Grounds toward the Princes' Gates.
Along the way, we'll hear stories connected to:- ποΈ The General Service Building
- π The Stanley Barracks β the building that genuinely creeps me out
- π The Horse Palace
- π Scadding Cabin
- π» Other strange stories, unexplained encounters, and haunted corners of the grounds
We'll finish at the Princes' Gates.
We'll keep a steady walking pace and will not be entering any of the buildings.***
## π―οΈ Why This One Is Different
I've done a lot of ghost walks around Toronto.
This is the one that actually makes me uncomfortable.
Maybe it's the history. Maybe it's the buildings. Maybe it's simply knowing what happened here and then standing there after dark.Whatever it is, the Exhibition Grounds have always felt different to me.
So come prepared for some genuinely creepy stories β and maybe a few moments where we all wonder whether we should really be standing there. π»

π Fall Walk: Rouge National Urban Park and Picnicπ³
Don Mills Subway Station, 1700 Sheppard Avenue East, GTA, ON, CA# ππ³ Fall Walk: Rouge National Urban Park π³π
### A Real Hike, Beautiful Fall Colours & a Picnic Together
Want to get out of the city without actually leaving Toronto?
Rouge National Urban Park is Canada's only urban national park β and one of the most popular hikes we do.
Once you get onto the trail, it can be hard to believe you're still in Toronto. Forest paths, rolling hills, changing leaves, and quiet stretches of wilderness make this feel much more like a trip outside the city than a walk through it.
And fall is one of the best times to experience it.This is a real hike, though. There are some hills and ups and downs, so it isn't the best choice if you're looking for an easy, flat walk.
But if you're up for the challenge, there's something satisfying about reaching the end knowing you did it together.
And then we'll have a picnic. π§Ίπ± Don't forget to join our WhatsApp Group β CLICK HERE

## π₯Ύ What We'll Do
We'll meet at Don Mills Station and take the 85C bus together toward Rouge National Urban Park.
Once we arrive, we'll begin our hike through the park.
Along the way we'll:- Hike through forest and open spaces π³
- Enjoy the fall colours π
- Navigate the hills and changing terrain
- Take in some beautiful views
- Stop for a short break along the route
- Finish at the Park's Welcome Centre
- Have a 30β40 minute group picnic afterward π§Ί
The hike takes approximately 2Β½ hours, plus a short break.
Afterward, we'll take some time to relax, eat, and enjoy each other's company.***
## π Fall Weather & Expectations
This is a moderately challenging hike, not a casual stroll.
There are hills, uneven sections, and some ups and downs, so good walking or hiking shoes are important.
Please come prepared for typical fall weather and bring enough water for the hike.If you're comfortable walking for a couple of hours and handling some elevation changes, you'll be fine.
If you're looking for something completely flat and easy, this probably isn't the walk for you.***

ππΏ NEW FALL WALK: Discover Biidaasige Park πΏπ
Young Centre for the Performing Arts, Distillery District, 50 Tank House Lane, Toronto, ON, CA# ππΏ NEW FALL WALK: Discover Biidaasige Park πΏπ
### A Brand-New Toronto Park, Fall Colours & Waterfront Trails
We're trying something new!
Join us for our first group walk to Biidaasige Park, one of the newest and most ambitious parks in Toronto. Opened as part of the massive transformation of the Port Lands, the park sits on Ookwemin Minising, Toronto's new island where the Don River meets Lake Ontario.
This isn't a walk we've done before, which makes it a little more exciting. We'll spend much of the afternoon actually exploring the park rather than rushing through it β following its trails, enjoying the waterfront, taking in the fall scenery, and stopping along the way to appreciate the new landscape.
The park is enormous, with more than 50 acres already open and more sections being added as the Port Lands transformation continues. There are curated trails and paths, viewpoints, natural areas, and places to get down closer to the new Don River.
And because we're doing this in the fall, we'll get to experience the park at a completely different time of year β cooler air, changing leaves, open skies, and fewer summer crowds. πWe'll meet at the Young Centre in the Distillery District simply because it's an easy and convenient meeting point before we head toward the park. We won't be spending the day touring the Distillery District β the park is the destination.
π² Don't Forget to join our WhatsApp Group β [CLICK HERE!]
***
## πΆββοΈ What We'll Do
We'll meet outside the Young Centre for the Performing Arts and make our way toward Biidaasige Park.
Once we reach the park, we'll slow things down and spend about 90 minutes exploring the trails and waterfront.
Along the way we'll:- π Enjoy the fall colours
- πΏ Explore the park's trails and green spaces
- π Walk along the new waterfront landscape
- πΈ Stop for photos and scenic views
- π³ Explore the natural areas around the new Don River
- π Take in views toward the Toronto skyline and Toronto Islands
- πΆββοΈ Enjoy plenty of time to walk and talk with the group
The walk itself will be approximately 2 hours, but we're not trying to race through it.
This is about experiencing the park.
It's our first time doing this walk, so we'll take our time and actually enjoy discovering what has been created here.***
## π Why Biidaasige Park?
Biidaasige Park is part of one of the biggest transformations Toronto has seen in decades.
The new Don River was created as part of the Port Lands Flood Protection project, transforming former industrial land into a new river valley, wetlands, parkland and public spaces. The first phase of Biidaasige Park opened in July 2025.
The park includes accessible trails, cycling paths, river access, wetlands, viewpoints and waterfront promenades, with views toward the Toronto Islands, Inner Harbour and skyline. And there's something particularly fun about visiting a place that is still brand new.
We're not revisiting an old Toronto favourite.
We're discovering somewhere new together.***
## πΊ After the Walk: The Keating Channel Pub & Grill
After exploring the park, we'll head over to The Keating Channel Pub & Grill for lunch.
The pub sits right on the Keating Channel and has been a local fixture in the area for more than 20 years. After years of Port Lands construction made the neighbourhood difficult to reach, the transformation of the area has brought new life and new visitors back to the waterfront.
It's a nice way to finish the day: a brand-new park followed by one of the neighbourhood's old survivors.
Lunch is optional, but everyone is welcome to join us.***
## π Fall Weather & Expectations
This is a social urban walk, not a difficult hike.
We'll be walking for approximately two hours, including our time exploring the park, so you should be comfortable being on your feet for that length of time.
Please dress for typical Toronto fall weather. The waterfront can be cooler and windier than other parts of the city, so a warm layer is a good idea.***
