Welcome to the Nature and Outdoors Group! We are passionate hikers of the beautiful Catskill 35 highest peaks, dedicated to exploring the beauty of nature. Our diverse community includes outdoor enthusiasts who enjoy hiking, camping, backpacking, and other outdoor adventures. Our group is not suitable for speedy hikers/runners.
In our group, respect, politeness, and sincerity are necessary. Any inappropriate behavior will result in removal. Let’s keep the environment positive and welcoming for everyone.

Becoming a Catskill 35er is more than just checking off a list; it's a deeply rewarding experience that combines physical and mental challenges, a connection with nature, and a sense of community, all while contributing to the preservation of the Catskills for future generations.

The Catskill 3500 Club, founded in 1962, continues to uphold the following principles for its members:
• Foster interest in hiking;
• Provide on-going education on outdoor skills; and
• Engage in public service, stewardship, and responsible conservation of our region's natural resources.
Value Statement
We value and celebrate those who have ascended, on foot, the 33 highest peaks on public lands in the Catskill Mountains, as well as those who have additionally hiked these mountains in winter.

Join us at Wharton State Forest and enjoy the fresh air, scenic trails, and great company. It is the largest single tract of land in the state park system of NJ, encompassing approximately 122,880 acres of the Pinelands northeast of Hammonton.
- Activities: Hiking, camping, kayaking, off-roading, birdwatching
- Option: Hike in Wissahickon Valley Park, PA. (Gorgeous old tree forest with waterfalls and a wide, deep creek. 30 miles driving)
- Terrain: Pine forests, cedar swamps, rivers, and sandy trails
- Batona Trail hike
- Apple Pie Hill Fire Tower (scenic views)
- Mullica River Trail (canoeing + hiking)
- Atsion to Quaker Bridge Trail (historical sites)
- Historic Sites: Batsto Village, Atsion Mansion
The group site provides potable water, fire ring, restroom, and Plenty of parking space. We will meet at the Goshen Pond Camping Area site B after 12 pm, then set up tents and start our relaxing time.

- Light hiking or biking through the scenic Pine Barrens, 4-8 Miles, low elevation gain.
- Relaxing by the campfire & stargazing
- Canoeing/kayaking nearby
- Exploring historic Batsto Village
** Please observe quiet hours from 10 PM to 6 AM. Alcoholic beverages are prohibited. Firewood can be purchased at the park office.
This is a rain-or-shine event.

Fees
- $18 per person for 2 nights and 3 days. We will split the cost of the firewood, or you can carry your own for two nights. Payment: Venmo@Nature-and-outdoors
After payments, you will move to the attendee list.
