New and Old Friends Over 50

We welcome friends from all walks of life, who enjoy socializing and trying new things including music, art, theater, games, crafting, and dining out. We have members all over SE Wisconsin (and beyond) and plan outings in many areas.

We are not a dating or hook-up group but if relationships organically grow over time out of connections made within the group, GREAT! We do not however tolerate harassment or unwelcome advancements towards members of the group. This is a place for people to enjoy time out with friends without being hassled. This is also not a group for anyone to use to sell any product or service to our membership. Complaints of these types of activity will result in immediate removal.

We always have outings planned for which we tend to keep the number of attendees between 6 and 8 (governed by the size of the venue).  Depending on the type of event, sometimes they will be for more - in the event of a festival, tour, or day trip it will be open-ended as we don't stay in a big cluster anyway.  More than 8 for a meal out though is no longer a cohesive group and we want to socialize with and get know everyone well. It's always a varied mix of attendees as everyone has different tastes and different interests - as well as lives outside the group.

Feel free to make suggestions and requests, or become an organizer to plan events. You can also request an organizer post an event for you and make you the host for the one-off outing without you needing to be an actual organizer.

We do have a modest $10.00 annual membership fee which is applied toward the cost of having the page. Once accepted you will receive an email with information about how to pay dues if you wish to avoid giving Meetup your credit/debit card info. You will have a 30 day trial period to allow you time to RSVP to, and attend, at least one event before committing to the group. You can pay dues at any time, but if they are not paid by the end of the 30 days, Meetup will automatically remove you from the group.
