What we’re about
Join us if you're interested in philosophy, literature, film, and socializing. This group will be for people who want to talk about books and movies that explore life's big questions. We won't presuppose any definite answers. It's more about the journey than the destination.
We will have regular meetups with different formats. Once a month we will meet to discuss a book or selection from a book. Readings will vary widely, ranging from ancient philosophy and literature to contemporary fiction and nonfiction. Each month, we will also have social gatherings, film outings, and open discussion meetups.

Philosophy in the Wild!
Join us for a social outing at Petra's bar on Monday, August 18th at 7:00 pm. That evening, Petra's is hosting The Bill Hanna Legacy Jazz Session, where some of Charlotte's best musicians will perform.
Doors open at 7:00 pm. Seating is first come, first served.
Music starts at 7:30 pm and will be on until 10:00 pm. Petra’s is a 21+ bar, you will need to present a photo ID.Everyone is responsible for purchasing their own ticket(s). If you would like to purchase your ticket(s) online, which comes to $10 a ticket, you can purchase them here.
***If you are attending the event with the group, please make sure you select 8/18 as the date for your ticket.Note: While some philosophical discussion may come up, none is required. This is a social outing put on in hopes to get out in the community and have a good time together!
