Hi all,

welcome to our board game meetup. No matter whether you like easier/shorter games (e.g. Uno, Coup, Saboteur, One Night Werewolf, many more) or long games (e.g. ticket to ride, white castle, and many more), you can join us and have fun.

We're looking forward to see you all on Sunday.

FAQs:

1. Details for hp8: We will meet at the "generator area" on the first floor. That's an open area in the main hall with many tables and chairs. There are stairways in all 4 corners of the building and a lift in the middle to get to the first floor. There is a Cafeteria in the main hall (some not so big, not so cheap sandwiches). You may bring your own drinks / food. Food delivery works.
2. You always can join late and/or leave early. The mentioned time is the start and end of the overall event time slot when we're there. The general language is English.
3. The event has no fee.
4. Some event takes place each Sunday. We will announce when and where via meetup.
5. Please register and only join when you're signed up (not on the waiting list).
6. Please update your RSVP (by clicking on it bottom left) when you're not coming as early as possible to allow others to join on your behalf.
7. We play the games that all participants bring to the event. Some bring easier games, some longer. It's normal to explain games before starting. You can probably find a game that suits you.
8. If you own games, please bring them.
9. You can join as a newbie or when you don't have much experience. Game owners usually explain the rules before the start.
10. As we play all in one open common area, please keep the noise level limited in order not to disturb others of our group.

lets meet, drink and play all kinds of boardgames from exploding kittens, to saboteur, Poker to Catan, from simple card games to Terraforming Mars. Usually, people are bringing enough boardgames, so its very Ok, bringing none :-)

If you don't find us, contact the restaurant staff.

feedback to some event reviews: there are some negative reviews of the event when people feel "excluded". Let me comment. usually we play in groups of people at the tables some games. These groups can be full depending on the game and groups might play games for a while. If some might join later in the evening, there might be the situation that everyone is already playing and groups/tables are full / busy. Please join on time or be patient to wait until there is a chance to join a new round of games at some table. Of course, we do not exclude anyone and everyone is welcome to join our event :-)

As we play weekly in this German restaurant:

• Ordering more than 1 drink or even food will support our boardgame meetup to be there long-term. The restaurant is quite full in the winter and we occupy several big tables that the restaurant otherwise would give to other customers

• Tipping the waiter 5-15% is showing gratitude and something the waiters got used to in Germany

• Please remember what you have ordered, when the waiter is coming around and trying to serve it

• Paying in cash is preferred. Local bank account card is possible from 10 Euro. Credit cards are not accepted by the restaurant.

• This event takes place in an well eqiped public space (e.g. tables, chairs) and its free.
• We play the games participants bring to the event, so if you own games, please bring them: we have all kinds of players and all kinds of games.
• Rules are clarified before starting.
• You can bring your own food & drinks.
• For organisational reasons, join only when you're signed up (not on waiting list) and update your RSVP when you're not coming. No shows are tracked and flaged.

fyi: this event is NOT at Gasteig hp8, this event takes place at motorama. In the "showroom", the big room at street level next to the kid's books.

how to get there:
A) coming from S-Bahn, you follow signs for "Gasteig Muffathalle". Take the escalator up, turn left and enter the "Motorama", where there is another escalator. Continue walking until you find a yellow room called "Showroom".
B) If you're entering from the riverside/isartor, you find the "Motorama" on the right side, within the building you pass along a restaurant and a store called "Hit" and find escalator where you go up, turn around and see a yellow room called "Showroom"

This Saturday we will have a special event. It's hosted by the library and it's called mega gaming day. there are also other groups there who will play.

The event takes place once a year and is free of charge.

We got 8 (140x70) tables with 5 seats each in the show room

There will be organizers of the public library onsite to help out where needed.
