mother/maker presents: mums wanna boogie ⟢ mother/maker family meet up

a little morning magic for the whole family -
we're taking over a corner of Café Nina in Huelin for a daytime boogie, live latin music and boleros on vinyl, good coffee, and a chance to dance before lunch even happens. bring the kids, bring your partner, bring the whole crew, this one's for everyone.

no need to find a babysitter, no need to wait until the kids are asleep to let loose. just a sunny saturday morning, real music, and permission to be a little silly with the people you love and meet some other cool mums and friends.

mother/maker is a community for creative women in Málaga, mothers, mums-to-be, and women moving through any season of becoming. most of our gatherings are just for us, but every so often we throw one open to the whole family, because connection doesn't need to be mums-only to count.

a standing invitation, twice a month - this time, bring the babies and toddlers. (we do fun events without the kids too!)

sometimes you just want to get out of the house before the bedtime scramble, let your kid run around, and have an actual conversation with another adult. this is that.

every other week, we meet in plaza de las cofradias - a central square with a playground - the tapas bar right beside it does a good aperol and vermut, so grab a drink, keep half an eye on the kids, and settle in.

come and go as you please. no host, no agenda, no plan needed. the point is just knowing that every other week, at the same time, in the same square, there will be other mums and kids there too. let this be a regular spot on the calendar that's already yours - a breath of fresh air to get you through the week.

finding your people as a (especially new!) mother is hard. this is a small, steady way to make it easier. make connections, no pressure.

come alone, bring a friend, stay for one drink or stay the whole time.
kids play, mums talk, everyone exhales a little. for all sorts of mothers, mums-to-be and their supportive auntie-era friends or women just in a season of transition looking for connection with other like-minded women.

mother/maker presents: tardeo — girls afternoon out

once a month, on a sunday afternoon, we trade the usual routine for a few hours of sun, good drinks, and real conversation at a beautiful, fun venue in Málaga.

mother/maker is a community for creative women in Málaga: mothers, mums-to-be, and women moving through this season of becoming. we believe you don't need more advice, you need more space, more sisterhood, and more fun. so alongside our child-friendly gatherings, we make room for this too: an afternoon that's just for you.
this one's an adults-only tardeo. no kids in tow this time, just women showing up as themselves, not as anyone's caregiver, for one afternoon a month.

this is for mothers, of course! but it's also for women trying to become mothers, women who've decided not to, women supporting someone through the chapter, aunties, friends, and anyone in a season of transition who wants a low-pressure way to meet people and actually connect. you don't need to fit a specific mold to belong here. you just need to want a real conversation, connection with interesting women, over a good drink.

mother/maker is opening its doors for the first time in Málaga — and we're starting the way we mean to go on: with good tea, creative women, and children welcome beside you.
Bring whatever you're working on. A crochet project, a sketchbook, a collage in progress, your journal, your knitting. Bring your baby or toddler. Bring yourself, even if your hands arrive empty.

The morning is unstructured by design. Sit down, make something, let your little one explore alongside you. Conversation happens naturally. So does quiet, when you need it. There's no agenda other than time — unhurried, creative, yours.

What to expect: Good tea and coffee on arrival. A warm, child-friendly space. Collective care — babies and toddlers are genuinely held by the room, not just accommodated. A moment of mindfulness to open the morning and help you land. Women who get it.

Bring: Your own materials and current project. Anything your child needs. An open morning.

This is for you if: You're a mother, a mum-to-be, or a woman who loves being around creative energy and children. You want to make something with your hands in the company of likeminded women. You've been looking for your people in Málaga and a space where you can become your complete self.
