About us
Unlike most meetup groups, this one does not specialize in any one activity, we will offer opportunities to get out of the house and do something that moves the body, brain, and soul. We encourage all ages, all physical activity levels to get out and enjoy nature. We are not a speed walking group. We are here to enjoy nature, take a picture, stop, and enjoy the view. This could include anything from hiking, backpacking, kayaking/SUP, dancing, live music, caving, ziplining, whitewater rafting, out of state trips etc. We will host a few classes on gear requirements/suggestions for various activities.
So, whether you are new to WI or a native simply looking to widen your horizons, this group will have something fun to offer. We require you to use your real name and a current head shot photo of just you.
We will depend on suggestions and assistance from the group’s members to keep a full schedule of activities on the calendar. Contact me with a date and time and what folks should bring and we will get it posted.
This group is here to encourage each and everyone to try new things, reach new levels of personal growth that you did not think possible.
We will not tolerate bullying, belittling, sexual harassment, or any bad behavior towards members. If this does occur you will be kicked out of the group

Point Bluff Tubing Resort’s Website
Details
This event is open to everyone but kids (sorry no kids). Our lazy river tubing event will take place at Point Bluff Tubing Resort in the Wisconsin Dells and we’ll be floating on the Wisconsin River. This is a day trip.Point Bluff Camping Resort opened in 2015 & flourishes as a beacon of hospitality and relaxation. Concessions are available for you to purchase at your cost on site at The Point Bluff Bar. They feature pizzas, giant soft pretzels, alcoholic beverages and refreshing cold drinks. Bring your own drinks and food and rent a cooler if you like!
The Plan
Arrive by 8 am on Saturday July 11. Parking gets busy as patrons arrive.
-Registration opens at 9 AM in the back of the Point Bluff Bar and they recommend arriving an hour early on the weekend to guarantee a spot on the river. The last bus shuttle leaves at 3 PM.-Tubing pricing is $20 per person and the cooler is available for $15 a tube - I'll confirm pricing after the facility opens March 2026. You will be paying for your tube yourself and your cooler tube if you want one or you can split the cost of a cooler tube and share that with others. We’ll bring rope to tether our tubes together to go down as a big group. Lifejackets are available for rent at your cost; we suggest you rent one. There is also a parking fee when you arrive, so prepare for that. Some people may want to carpool and split that cost. I'll confirm pricing after the facility opens March 2026.
-Waivers have to be filled out for each person in the entire group which is located at the tubing desk located in the bar area. Once the waiver and payment are received, you’ll get a bus pass. Our group will be called when it is our turn to load. The bus will hand the pass to the driver and board.
-The bus will take us a few miles down the road to the launch location. Typical lazy river trips run about two hours.
