About us
Melbourne Asian Board Gamers is a safe space for you to meet like-minded people who love tabletop games. Our board game meet ups are hosted at Marche in the Melbourne CBD as a regular weekly event.
With access to the games library at the cafe and over 200 games in our member's personal collections, there's always something for everyone. If there is something specific you want to play, feel free to send a request and we'll be more than happy to teach/play it.

NOTICE: Due to lockdown and the uncertainty of covid restrictions, our events will be put on hold. As soon as it is safe to, we will begin schedule regular Meetups.

Each event will cost 1 gold (equivalent to $1) unless otherwise specified.
All funds will go towards Meetup fees ($350/year) | Additional events (eg. Karaoke, BBQ, Badminton) | Donations to the venue.
The venue also has a minimum spend of $10 on food/drinks. Their menu can be found here https://mbgcafe.com.au/menu.pdf. Feel free to join the group for dinner right before we play board games!

We are noticing more people are showing up than RSVP numbers and also not spending $10 minimum on food.
Beginning from March, we will be keeping track of attendance list. Please be aware if you are not on the RSVP list you can still attend if you pay the full Marche boardgame price ($22). We will also be asking you to purchase minimum of $10 on food/drink, and to pay the $1 admin fee.
As our events are highly popular, if you have RSVP as going but can no longer attend, please amend your RSVP to allow others a chance to attend. If we notice people are not showing up when they have RSVP, you will be moved to wait list the following week and give priority to those who actually turn up.
We appreciate everyone's understanding and co-operation.

Whether you're looking for a short, light game or a longer strategy-heavy game, come join the Melbourne Asian Board Gamers on Tuesday night at Marché Board Game Cafe for some fun!
To check in, please head to the front counter and show your RSVP for the Meetup event to a Marché staff member. They will then point you towards the event host for the evening to take down your attendance.

Attendees who have registered for the event on Meetup can play at discounted rates, with the following payments to be made:
***7 in total per session” to cover Meetup subscription and cafe costs. Payment of 7 should be made to Marche at the front counter upon notification to the staff member that you are here for the scheduled meetup.
There is now no minimum spend on items at the cafe as there were before.

Only attendees on the "going" list are entitled to the discount. attendees that are on the waitlist or didn't register on Meetup are still welcome to come, but will need to pay the regular Marche rate of $22 for three hours of board games (includes one free drink).
