Never played before? Prior game experience isn't necessary, but players are encouraged to read the rules of the game prior to attending an event.

Lord of the Rings themed board games
Gamers Geekery and Tavern, 107 Edinburgh South Drive, Suite 213, Cary, NC, USLets play games themed around the Lord of the Rings. I will bring several and we can choose what to play. Will teach prior to playing if needed. Some of the games I will bring are:
In Hunt for the Ring, one player takes the role of Frodo and his companions, who are journeying from the Shire to Rivendell, while up to four other players represent the Nazgûl who are trying to hunt down the hobbits. While traveling, Frodo and others must resist being corrupted by the Ring that he wears.
In The Two Towers: Trick-Taking Game, a narrative-driven co-operative card game that lets players take on the roles of heroes and villains in Tolkien's legendary work, The Two Towers. In each chapter, each player takes a different character role and each character has a condition that must be met in order to pass the chapter and advance in the story. As you advance through the chapters, new characters, items, and challenges are introduced to the game. The One Ring is the game's only trump card, but initially rings can't be led until someone plays one off-suit.
The Lord of the Rings: Fate of the Fellowship is a co-operative game in which each player controls two characters, lending their unique abilities to protect Frodo, battle enemies in pivotal locations, and evade the menacing Nazgûl and Sauron's searching Eye. As members of The Fellowship and the allies who rise to aid them, you must embark on a journey that may either save or doom Middle-earth. Navigate a world beset by shadow, where every choice forges a new path.
