About us
We are a community of local WordPress developers, designers, and publishers who come together to share knowledge and experiences. Our goal is to unite WordPress users, enthusiasts, and fans across the Philippines, inspiring those from different regions to organize their own local WordPress meetups. We aim to nurture these communities into future contributors to the global open-source WordPress project — creating a space where everyone can give back by sharing their expertise freely.
We also organize the yearly volunteer-run WordCamp events and collaborate with other tech and user groups in the Philippines, particularly open-source supporters. We make our meetups a welcoming place for other WP users locally and from all over the world who visit the Philippines.

Software Freedom Day 2026 "The Future is Open"
Huawei Technologies Inc., 12F, Milestone at the 5th, 4th Ave,, Taguig, PHSoftware Freedom Day (SFD) is a global celebration of Free and Open-Source Software (FOSS).
WordPress Manila and Huawei Cloud Developer Group Philippines are hosting this event to bring together developers, designers, students, educators, creators, and tech enthusiasts to celebrate software freedom and the open-source community.
This year’s theme is “The Future Is Open.”
As technology continues to evolve, especially with AI becoming part of our everyday lives, we want to explore an important question:
What does an open future look like?We’ll talk about open-source software, artificial intelligence, open knowledge, privacy, digital rights, and how we can work together to build a more open digital future.
What to Expect:

- Slots are limited.
- Please use your full name and an actual photo on your Meetup profile.
- After signing up, you will initially be placed on the waitlist while our volunteers process your RSVP.
- Venue instructions will be emailed once your RSVP is confirmed.
- No walk-ins for this event.
- No sando, slippers, or shorts are allowed on the premises.
