**De purs Hommes - Mohamed Mbougar Sarr :** Bouleversant, ce roman francophone africain est le premier Ă  aborder de maniĂšre frontale la question explosive de l'homosexualitĂ© sur le continent. Tout part d'une vidĂ©o virale, au SĂ©nĂ©gal. On y voit comment le cadavre d'un homme est dĂ©terrĂ©, puis traĂźnĂ© hors d'un cimetiĂšre par une foule. DĂšs qu'il la visionne, naĂźt chez NdĂ©nĂ© Gueye, jeune professeur de lettres déçu par l'enseignement et fatiguĂ© de l'hypocrisie morale de sa sociĂ©tĂ©, un intĂ©rĂȘt, voire une obsession, pour cet Ă©vĂ©nement. Qui Ă©tait cet homme ? Pourquoi a-t-on exhumĂ© son corps ? À ces questions, une seule rĂ©ponse : c'Ă©tait un gĂłor-jigĂ©en, disait-on, un " homme-femme ". Autrement dit, un homosexuel. NdĂ©nĂ© se met Ă  la recherche du passĂ© de cet homme, et va mĂȘme rencontrer sa mĂšre. Autour de lui, dans le milieu universitaire comme au sein de sa propre famille, les suspicions et les rumeurs naissent, qui le dĂ©stabilisent, au point de troubler sa relation avec son amie Rama dont il est fortement amoureux, Rama Ă  la bouche gĂ©nĂ©reuse et Ă  la chevelure mystĂ©rieuse... D'une Ă©criture fiĂ©vreuse, Mohamed Mbougar Sarr signe ici un roman bouleversant sur la seule grande question qui vaille aux yeux de son hĂ©ros : comment trouver le courage d'ĂȘtre pleinement soi, sans se trahir ni se mentir, et quel qu'en soit le prix ? **Les vagues- Virginia Woolf :** PubliĂ© en 1931, "Les Vagues" ("The Waves") fut traduit par Marguerite Yourcenar en 1937.
