From The Gathering Grounds šŸŒ±ā¤ļø

Hey guys! Our first event! Join us on a beautiful hike, we'll be meeting at S Bahnhof Wansee and taking the old historical bus (BVG) to Pfaueninsel. ( it's a real experience 🚌) From there we'll be walking along the water, taking swims along the way, and seeing very impressive architecture. We'll be passing 2 very beautiful castles, lots of old ruins, some fountains and a really pretty bridge. (.... And probably a lot more just waiting to be discovered.) All of it surrounded by water, making it easy to take a dip. šŸ’¦ There are lots of places to swim and have picnics on the way. Our end distination is Schloss Cecilienhof. Right next to that there is the Meierei, where they brew their own beer. Cheers to a perfect day! šŸŗ šŸ„‚ šŸŽˆšŸ» The hike takes a round 2-3 hours, not including the swimming and chilling part. On the way there are bus stops if you are wanting to cut it short āœ‚ļø šŸ¤” Please keep the picnics plant-based 🌱 Please be on time - our bus should depart at 10:50. We will wait for no one 🐌 It's all about making connections, meeting like minded people and having a wonderful time! 🄳 Come as you are! Or you will be missed! Bring 🌻 a picnic, water and a swimming costume...

2 EURO DONATION FEE PER PERSON IS REQUIRED (on site, in cash), to pay back the Meetup subscription fees and support my Events. READ THE DESCRIPTION WITH THE INFO (IMPORTANT). WHATSAPP LINK BELOW šŸ“³ā€‹ We take the HBX train that departs from Berlin Gesundbrunnen at 07,02 AM and arrives to Ilsenburg at 10,29 šŸš‰šŸ˜€ The train is available also in Lichtenberg, Wannsee and Potsdam. I attach the screenshot with all the stations. The train is Deutschland Ticket valid. Once in Ilsenburg station, we take a local bus to save a bit of walking (since the actual Hike will be already very long šŸ˜†šŸ’Æ). I attach the screenshot of this bus connection, here the website of the local buses (note: these connections are not present on Google Maps) šŸš: https://www.insa.de/ We then start our Hike and this is the path šŸš¶ā€ā™€ļøšŸš¶ The Brocken Mountain is the highest peak in northern Germany ā›°ļø with an elevation of 1,142 meters https://www.komoot.com/tour/2936906879 Bring your own food šŸ” and drinks 🄤, we will take breaks where we deem appropriate. IMPORTANT: please consider that the Hike is 24kms with 860 meters of elevation difference, come only if you know that you are physically fit 😊 People who do not want/can make the whole Hike can join and decide to come back earlier without making the whole route 😊 INFO ā„¹ļøā„¹ļø Route distance: 24 kms Elevation difference: 860 meters up and 860 meters down (it is a loop) Breaks ā›”: When and where we deem appropriate. On the way back it seems there are no local buses, in the late afternoon, from Parkplatz Ilsenburg Brockenwanderung to the station, so maybe we should walk 2 kms more. A direct train to come back from Ilsenburg to Berlin is available at 17,31 (HBX), but maybe (or even probably) it will be too early for us. Other connections are anyway available, changing train in Magdeburg šŸš‰ If you have to contact me, make it via Whatsapp, not here on Meetup.
