In the 1980s, the Japanese government donated 100 flowering cherry trees to the people of Victoria, which were planted in Banksia Park. This is one of the few places in Australia where we can photograph the Japanese cherry blossoms. Banksia Park is situated right next to the Heide Museum of Modern Art, which is currently hosting the [Brassaï Secret Paris exhibition](https://www.heide.com.au/exhibitions/brassai/) of Paris in the 1930s. **Schedule** This event will follow directly from Wings & Wild Things of Banyule: Wildlife & Bird Photography, which will conclude with lunch at the Manningham Club, where the events will cross over. You are welcome to attend either or both events. 12.00 PM – Lunch at the Manningham Club Bistro 1 Thompsons Rd, Bulleen VIC 3105 (Next to Dan Murphy's) 1:00 PM- Welcome and briefing (Banksia Park) 1.15 PM - Explore the cherry blossoms 2.00 PM – Explore the sculpture gardens of Heide 2.45 PM –Explore the [Brassaï Secret Paris Exhibition](https://www.heide.com.au/exhibitions/brassai/) (Adults $27, Concession $22) Free entry for Heide Members and Manningham residents (proof of address required). Heide is also running other exhibitions of interest. 4.00 PM - Event Ends The starting location will be the [Cherry Blossoms](https://maps.app.goo.gl/HSBxM5i6PhmGNf758). Head down the Banksia Park driveway and turn right at the amenities block.
