The one pitfall every transformation needs to avoid

The one pitfall every transformation needs to avoid

Tue, Oct 13, 5:00 PM
From Sooner Safer Happier - EMEA (#BVSSH)
4.7

I’ve worked on several large-scale agile transformations, and one theme has consistently stood out: lasting change depends on leadership being part of the transformation, not simply supporting it from the sidelines. Leadership endorsement matters, but sustainable change comes when leaders understand, role-model and reinforce the new ways of working themselves. Their behaviours, decisions and the environment they create can either accelerate progress or unintentionally pull an organisation back towards old habits. **In this talk:** * I’ll share real stories from large-scale transformations where teams demonstrated measurable improvements, and explore how leadership behaviours influenced whether those improvements were able to grow and endure. * I’ll share examples of significant successes, supported by data, and what helped create the conditions for those results as well as what happened when those conditions later changed. * I’ll explore why leadership development is such an important part of organisational change, and how bringing leaders into the learning journey early can help new ways of working become embedded and sustainable. Ultimately, transformation is not something leaders sponsor for others to do. Leadership behaviour is part of the system — and can make or break the conditions for lasting improvement.

The BOSS Briefing: Building a Better Business Operating System

The BOSS Briefing: Building a Better Business Operating System

Wed, Oct 14, 7:00 PM
From UK — AI, Digital Skills & Online Business
4.0

**Discover how simple systems can help you measure progress, improve positioning and make more informed business decisions.** **Explore a real business case study and learn practical ways to turn strategy into consistent action.** *Live FREE 60\-Minute Interactive Webinar \| Business Strategy\, Positioning & Growth* **Are You Working Hard in Your Business but Not Seeing the Progress You Expected?** Running a business requires more than professional expertise, determination and a good strategy. For many small business owners, the challenge is knowing whether their current approach is actually working. Perhaps you've developed a business plan, invested in marketing tools or attended strategy workshops, yet still find yourself wondering: * How effectively is my business positioned in the market? * Am I attracting the right clients? * How can I measure what's working and what needs attention? * What practical systems could help me make better business decisions? **The BOSS Briefing** introduces a structured approach to addressing these questions. Join **Dr Edward Klinger**, an engineer with more than 35 years of experience developing operating systems and sensor networks for critical infrastructure. Drawing on his engineering background, Edward will explore how principles of measurement, monitoring and continuous improvement can be applied to small businesses. Through a practical case study, he'll demonstrate how a structured business operating system can support clearer positioning, more consistent decision-making and measurable progress. **A Real Business Case Study** During the webinar, Edward will discuss the experience of Emma, a virtual assistant who reportedly increased her retained client base from two to fourteen over six months. Rather than presenting this outcome as typical or guaranteed, Edward will examine the systems and processes used during that period. The discussion will explore how Emma approached business positioning, performance measurement and regular reviews. Participants will have an opportunity to consider which elements might be relevant to their own circumstances. **What You'll Learn** During this interactive session, we'll explore: * **Business positioning:** Why professional expertise alone may not be enough to differentiate your services in a competitive market. * **A three-step framework:** How a structured approach can help connect business objectives with practical action. * **Measuring performance:** Ways to assess your positioning and monitor business progress. * **Weekly business reviews:** How regular check-ins can help identify opportunities, challenges and areas requiring attention. * **Turning strategy into action:** Practical methods for introducing greater consistency into everyday business operations. **Who Should Attend?** This webinar may be particularly useful for: * Small business owners and entrepreneurs seeking a more structured approach to growth. * Consultants, coaches and service providers wanting to strengthen their market positioning. * Business owners who find themselves juggling multiple tools, strategies and competing priorities. * Professionals interested in practical performance measurement and continuous improvement. * Anyone curious about how operating-system principles can be adapted to business management. **No engineering or technical background is required.** **What Can You Expect to Take Away?** By the end of the session, you'll have: * An introduction to a structured business operating system. * A better understanding of how positioning and performance can be measured. * Insights from a practical small-business case study. * Ideas for introducing a simple weekly review process. * A starting point for evaluating which systems may be useful in your own business. The emphasis is on learning, discussion and practical application rather than quick fixes or guaranteed results. **We Hope You'll Join Us!** Whether you're establishing a new business or looking for ways to improve an existing one, this session offers an opportunity to explore how practical systems can support better business management. Come along, bring your questions and discover some ideas you may wish to apply in your own business. **We look forward to welcoming you!** **Disclaimer** This webinar is provided for educational and professional development purposes. The case study describes an individual business experience and should not be considered representative of typical results. Business outcomes vary according to individual circumstances, and no specific financial, client acquisition or business growth results are guaranteed.
