Lincoln Walking Group

Starting from the Yorkshire dales car park in Clapham, we head north through the village and onto the Ingleborough trail following the beck and passing farmland to Gaping Gill and over open countryside with some of the best scenic views in the dales up to the summit of Ingleborough at 723m. This is an out and back route. There are a couple of places to eat and drink in the village and toilets at the car park but nothing else on route, so please bring a packed lunch.

Join us for a lovely weekend in the Yorkshire Dales. 2 planned walks and other places of interest in the area. We will walk the Ingleton waterfalls trail, 6 waterfalls on a 4.5 mile woodland route. The other day to do the hike up to Ingleborough summit 732m one of the Yorkshire 3 peaks. Arrange your own accommodation in the Ingleton or Clapham area. Join us for a walk along the Ingleton waterfalls trail. Access through the visitors centre. It is a beautiful 5 mile trail visiting several waterfalls along the River Twiss and River Doe. Cafe and toilets at visitors centre. Entry fee applies. Early finish so that those leaving on Sunday can get home before dark.

Meeting at the visitors centre, who has toilets, and cafe, sorry dogs are not allowed into the centre.
we leave the Nature Reserve after a short walk and walk along country roads towards Barrow Haven. We then head back towards the River Humber, re-entering the reserve. Here we walk alongside the old Clay Pits and back to the starting point.
Dogs are allowed on the walk but must be kept on leads.
Parking and entrance is an amazing £0.00.
It might be worth taking a pair of binoculars.
The walk might be a little muddy and/or slippery when wet.
For those who don't like hills, this walk has a total elevation of 10 ft, or for those did metric, 3m.
