The organisers of Pride in Reading are asking for community donations in advance if possible. You can read more about why finances are so difficult this year and donate on their website: https://readingpride.co.uk/fundraising-events/
On the day, come and join a group of friendly LGBT+ people to enjoy the event together. We'll meet at 11:30am at Reading station and walk over together to join the fesitivities on King's Meadow. There will also be donation buckets at the entrance, although no tickets or requirement to pay to enter.
We’re meeting after the march but if you want to take part individuals can do without registering in advance: https://readingpride.co.uk/love-unites-parade/
Once we all get to King's Meadow, there's lots to do and see from charity stalls to LGBT+ merch stalls, music, funfair rides.
The mobile network can get overloaded, limiting signal, so we'll be at this series of meetings if you'd like to join us later on or get separated and want to find the group again:
2pm We will gather near the truck where Thames Water give out water
3:30pm We will be in or near the BeYou half of the Thames Valley Positive Support (TVPS) stand in the community field
5pm We will gather to the right (as you face the stage) of the main stage
At 11:30am, 2pm, 3:30pm and 5pm, look out for someone holding an inflatable frog.
Pride is an important part of the continued work towards LGBTQ+ acceptance and liberation, so please feel free to bring guests who are allies to the community to share the experience.
