Get ready for a full day of national pride, good vibes, and unforgettable fun — because Leuven Language Buddies is taking over Brussels for Belgium’s National Day on Monday, July 21st! This event is open to members of the LLB community. If you’ve joined a language table before, you’re more than welcome! Spoken language will be English. We’re going as one big crew, so bring your flags, your loudest cheers, and your LLB spirit. Feel free to leave anytime. Follow the plan with us or explore solo. 🕙 Time: Meet at 9:15 AM, train departs at 9:33 AM sharp

We heard you — this time the plan is super clear! Here's our LLB itinerary for the day:
✨ Morning:
• 11:00 – Visit to the Federal Parliament (yes, we’re going inside! 🏛️)
• Koningsplein / Place Royale:
o Explore military gear up close
o Visit the Kerk van Sint-Jacob op de Coudenberg – Brussels’ royal parish church
🚶‍♀️ Midday Adventure:
• Stroll down Regentschapsstraat: packed with stands, freebies & interactive activities
• Stop at:
o Poelaertplein – Police Village
o Zavelplein – Safety Village of the Ministry of the Interior 🦺
🍟 Lunchtime!
Grab a bite from the many food stalls or join us at a casual local restaurant. No need to bring food (unless you want snacks)!
🎖 Afternoon:
• 14:00 – Optional visit to the Rekenhof (Belgium’s Court of Audit)
• 15:30 – Military & Civil Parade
⚠️ It gets busy, but we have an LLB insider who knows the best chill viewing spot 😎
🎉 Evening & Fireworks:
• If we still have energy…
o 21:00 – Free concert at Jubelpark (Parc du Cinquantenaire)
o Followed by an epic laser, drone & fireworks show around 23:00
🎆 Expect to be back in Leuven around midnight, but feel free to return earlier if needed.

Let’s show Brussels how LLB celebrates:
• 🇧🇪 Wear black-yellow-red outfits
• ⚽ Rock your Belgian football jersey
• 🎨 Face paint, flags, accessories — go all in!
Not mandatory… but our organizers might just offer you eternal bragging rights and at least one high five.
