The Lancaster Bicycle Club is a recreational club for cyclists of all levels.
The Club carefully plans rides and related events such as bike-safety courses that result in self-confidence, physical fitness, and improved riding skills for cyclists. The Club also hosts numerous social events and supports bicycle-related initiatives through its grant program. The Club has awarded over $530,000 in grants since 1999.
Whether you are an experienced rider or new to bike riding, you can find a variety of suitable rides here on Lancaster Bicycle Club’s Meetup site. Rides are held year round.
Your Meetup membership does not mean you are a Lancaster Bicycle Club member. To eliminate the need for a paper waiver at the ride start, we require club membership in addition to Meetup. You can join today at [lancasterbikeclub.net. ](https://lancasterbikeclub.net)
For proper verification of membership we do not allow anonymous Meetup IDs. Please sign up with a first and last name in order for your request to join be approved.

LBC Bike to 30K Program: Ride #4 Pinetown Covered (8 Miles)
Landis Valley Museum, 2451 Kissel Hill Road, Lancaster, PA, USGrab your helmets, bikes, and sneakers — Lancaster Bicycle Club is gearing up for beginner and transitional rides! Local members of the LBC are thrilled to host this year’s Bike to 30K Program, designed especially for new, returning, and curious cyclists.
## About the Program
Bike to 30K is a seven‑week series that gently builds your confidence, fitness, and mileage. We begin with a five‑mile ride and gradually work up to eighteen miles by the end of the program. Our goal is simple: to introduce riders of all experience levels to the joy of cycling in a supportive, community‑focused environment.
This program is FREE with an LBC membership — and membership is also free. The Bike to 30K program is open to everyone in our community who wants to ride.## Why We Ride
Ever wonder why cyclists keep coming back? Because it’s fun. There’s nothing like coasting downhill and letting out a big “weeeeeee” all the way to the bottom. But we also know that if you’re new to cycling, jumping straight into an 18‑mile ride can feel intimidating. That’s exactly why Bike to 30K exists.
Each week, you’ll increase your mileage at a comfortable pace. You’ll get to know the club, meet fellow riders, and gradually grow into a confident Fun Rider — the group known for enjoying scenic, social rides together.## Our Commitment to You
Lancaster Bicycle Club is dedicated to supporting new riders and helping our community reach their cycling goals. Bike to 30K is part of our initiative to encourage more people to get outside, get active, and discover how enjoyable cycling can be.
Spend seven weeks with us and watch yourself transform into a Fun Rider — one mile at a time.
The Bike to 30K program is voluntary, welcoming, and designed with beginners in mind. We can’t wait to ride with you.## Membership, Waiver & RSVP Requirements
To eliminate passing around a pen‑and‑paper waiver, we require both:
- LBC Club Membership, and
- Meetup RSVP
Your RSVP allows us to contact you after the ride if needed. Please note: ONLY club members who RSVP are covered by the club’s excess accident insurance policy. Being on Meetup does not mean you are a club member. To join our wonderful club, please sign up through our membership link.
## Before You Arrive
Please plan to arrive 10–15 minutes before the ride and ensure your bike is in good working condition. Helmets are mandatory. Please also bring:
- 1–2 water bottles
- A basic repair kit (spare tube, tire levers, pump or CO₂ inflator)
For everyone’s safety, earbuds and music are not allowed.
