About us
Welcome to the Konenki Menopause Support Group!
In Japanese culture, "Konenki" signifies "renewal years" and "energy," reflecting a positive and empowering perspective on menopause as a time of personal growth and transformation.
Our group is dedicated to embracing this philosophy by providing a supportive community for women navigating the peri-menopausal and menopausal journey. We offer both online and in-person events, ensuring accessibility and convenience for all members. All events are free or low-cost, with any fees solely covering food or facility expenses.
We are proud to collaborate with the region's most highly-vetted menopause providers, who will share their expertise and offer educational sessions at our events.
Join us to connect with like-minded women, gain valuable insights, and celebrate this transformative phase of life together.
We look forward to welcoming you to our community!

Brain Fog in Midlife: Memory, focus, and getting your clarity back
·OnlineOnlinePLEASE REGISTER THROUGH THIS FORM --> LINK HERE!
Brain fog in perimenopause and menopause makes you doubt yourself. The lost words, the dropped thoughts, the rereading. It is real, it has causes, and there is more you can do than anyone has told you. Join this free, live conversation to understand the patterns underneath.
Three perspectives
- The mind: what brain fog actually is, how to tell it apart from ADHD, and how midlife identity shifts play a part.
- The space around you: how your home and workspace either calm your nervous system or quietly tax your focus, and what to change.
- The body: the gut-brain connection, and why it grows louder in perimenopause as hormones stop buffering it.

If you have left an appointment feeling unheard, or been handed one option and told it was a choice, you are not imagining it. This free, live conversation is about what to say and ask the next time you are in that chair.
- A physician on what recently changed in hormone therapy guidance, and why the question you ask matters more than the headline.
- A nurse practitioner on what a productive first appointment sounds like, the red flags that signal it will not be one, and how insurance-covered care works.
- A clinical hormone health coach on what to ask for beyond a standard lab panel, and how a symptom rating scale can put language to what you are feeling.

Integrative Midlife Care: Nervous System, Gut Health & Emotional Wellness
·OnlineOnlineAfter RSVP, PLEASE COMPLETE THIS FORM --> LINK HERE!
The rules stopped working.
Not because you stopped trying, but because the body they were written for has changed underneath them.Integrative midlife care means looking at the whole picture rather than one symptom at a time.
Three Vetted Konenki Providers each take a different angle on the same question.
- Why midlife can feel emotionally different, and what to do when the load stops being carryable.
- How the parasympathetic nervous system and the gut influence each other, and why that shows up as symptoms.
- How to read symptoms as information rather than noise, and find what is actually driving them.
Speakers
- Dr. Emma Mansour, on the emotional and cognitive shifts of midlife.
- Karyn Golgart, on the nervous system and gut connection in perimenopause.
- Leah Somers, on decoding the body through nutrition and whole body assessment.

Menopause and Divorce: Is It Menopause or Is It The Marriage?
·OnlineOnlineAfter RSVP, PLEASE COMPLETE THIS FORM --> LINK HERE!
Menopause and divorce tend to arrive in the same decade, and once they do it becomes very hard to know which one you are reacting to. If you are awake at two in the morning doing the arithmetic of a long marriage, this free, live conversation is for you. Nobody here assumes you are leaving.
Three Vetted Konenki Providers
- Sarah Scott-Weaver, FNP-C, HN-BC, IFMCP (Entourage Functional Medicine): what perimenopause is actually doing to sleep, mood, patience, and desire, and how to tell a symptom from a signal.
- Deb Hurowitz, LICSW (Still Me Therapy): what happens emotionally when the old roles stop fitting, and what the real paths look like if the marriage does end, including how differently each one lands on your money and your family.
- Nanette Drouillard-Murphy (Second Act Divorce Coaching): the fear almost nobody says out loud, which is not the divorce itself but the chapter after it, and how healing can begin long before anyone files.
